I feel Cars is so specific, though, as to it being hard to really get over the IP. I'm kind of curious how enthusiastic the reaction is going to be in the room if the Beyond Big Thunder reveal is... we're bringing Carsland to the Magic Kingdom! It seems as close as possible to objectively worse than what most people thought the announcement would be.

I don't think it's great in the parks, as an IP, though, it doesn't grate on me as much as a world where everything references cars. That may just be because I don't find cars especially enchanting and others do, I guess.

I don't follow these things that closely, but I am also surprised. The few reviews I have seen of the German production have been less than glowing and I thought it also got a pretty poor reception during an earlier British try-out. I guess we'll see if they've figured out how to make it work.
