It's not as if Critter Country had no references to CBJ prior to the land's recent closure... Hungry Bear was always themed to the Country Bears.

I’m in no way opposed to more Country Bear presence. The thing is…Hungry Bear already is “CBJ Inspired”. Besides the name “Hungry Bear”, there’s plenty of signage that referenced the characters. It was a Bear Country Original. And the added subtitle “barbecue jamboree” is overkill IMO.

It’s weird enough that TBA, a human focused ride is being put into Critter Country at Disneyland. The fact that they might christen the concrete strip from bears to the New Orleans salt dome “Critter Country” is plain bizarre. Perhaps if they kept any of the critter houses or critter set theming...

Why are they so scared to do the Death Star, or anything from the OG trilogy? That’s what everyone wants.

No. I’d much rather it become the Hungry Bear, or return to the Mile Long Bar, or anything bear themed. Since, you know, Country Bears are attached to the building.

Splash was lightning in a bottle. No idea how Baxter came to the conclusion of combining the Brer Rabbit story and the "three phase soundtrack" of SotS with the America Sings animatronics with a log flume, but it was genius. I was estimating that it would go away in September as Big Thunder was about to go down. But now Peter Pan is down. And Jungle Cruise is going down after that. So I guess it’s not dependent on the refurb schedule of other headliners. Probably whenever they can get it to consistently run for most...

Could they do static/limited motion figures? They seem to like those (judging by how many were included on TBA).

The cost barrier to film and video game is completely different. So while Tron may have had more viewers, Kingdom Hearts has raked in more money. Also 60% of the characters are Disney characters people are familiar with.

Magic Kingdom is the Fantasy Park. I’m sure most guests would rather visit Wonderland than drive the ancient gas powered go karts that are stuck on a guided rail.

They need to tear it down, and rebuild it as an E-ticket around where the circus tents are now. Flying around London and Neverland is a timeless concept, but for the level of demand, it should be done in a larger scale.

Besides the neon light aesthetic, it’s had no cultural staying power. The two most popular Tron related things are probably the coaster and, funny enough, it’s appearance in Kingdom Hearts.

I don’t think it’s that niche. Maybe in the grand scheme of things, but out of Disney IP? But many recent additions have a much smaller audience (Tron anybody?).

Most of the Splash/Brer Rabbit fan accounts I see are Japanese 😅. That's the power of a darn good ride. The general public might not be aware of the movie, but if you can make the characters appealing in those 10 minutes of ride time, the movie doesn't matter.
