Disney's Streaming Services: Disney+ (and Hulu, ESPN+, Star, & hotstar)

Just watched the new John Williams documentary on Disney+. Me and my wife started it while eating dinner only intending to watch part of it today, but ended up watching the whole thing. I've seen a lot of documentary material on John but there were still things I didn't know, for example I never...

    Permits 2024

Yeah, but by moving them further from the park, they are closer to their destination thus saving fuel and saving Disney money, thus the real reason for the Skyliner being built. ;)

    Permits 2024

I have really enjoyed doing the permits over the years, but this is by far my favorite moment... https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/dhs-permits.909178/post-7577426

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

I would assume it's powered through the cables. If it's a mesh system then it could. For example if lines went between Epcot, CBR and DHS and the Epcot to CBR line got blocked, then cars could go Epcot to DHS to CBR.

I am really exited about this. Love the food there and am always looking for a different breakfast option.

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

What is the best case throughput? BTW, thanks for answering questions about this system, not that we have any sway over Disney here.

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

This does have a big advantage over the Skyliner in that it could more easily connect a large number of destinations. although I doubt Disney would spend the money to do that.

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

So all the vehicles behind the failed one can reverse direction and return to a station? Even if that is the case, you still have the monorail problem unless there are multiple paths to the destination.

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

No, that is different. Yes, if the main drive motor goes down the line stops but, but if there are multiple powered vehicles on a line, if any one of them fails they all go down, so you go from a single point of failure to multiple points of failure.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

With 14 of them in the ride it's possible they won't even need a b-mode. Depending on how the ride story plays out they may be able to remove one for maintenance without really impacting the ride experience.

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

Cool concept but it does suffer from one of the same problems as the Monorail, if one car breaks down it takes out the entire line.

News Test Track to be reimagined

Maybe we are talking about two different things. When I talk about the lack of "variety" in the original park, I mean a mix of different ride systems so you get visceral differences in the rides. The original Epcot rides provided a lot of variety in what you saw an heard, but not in what you felt.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Aladdin's Magic Carpets isn't much of a ride either, so I won't put that on a list of rides in MK.

Here is the permit drawing for the expansion. It is taking out a lot of parking, but I don't see any plans to replace it.

And thus the problem with trying to measure how many attractions a park has. Some people could spend two days in AK, others 1/2 day is plenty.

I don't fault Rhode for this, he wasn't controlling the budget. As I always say, Dino-land is one of the best themed lands at Disney, it's not a very ambitious theme.
