    “Something major” coming to DHS???

They have non-Disnet created IPs in the Parks already. Toy Story. Nemo. Star Wars. Marvel. They even have non-Disney owned IPs - Twilight Zone. Up until the Fox acquisition, Avatar; and Star Wars and Indiana Jones were in the parks well before the LucasFilm acquisition, as well as many...

News EPCOT to be festival-free for summer 2024

I have a different theory - they are trying a summer without a festival to see how it affects park attendance and F&B sales in the park, to see if the revenue is worth the cost for the summer.

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

@lentesta do you have any sense at how the show is doing vs Harmonious/Epcot Forever/RoE?

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

I got to see the show last week - once from the park, and several times from my room at the Yacht Club (we ended up with an amazing view). Really liked it a lot. Still can't top RoE for me, but it's up there. Great show and one I will be seeing on future visits. Couple shots from my room.

News Victoria & Albert’s awarded MICHELIN Star

It's on par with other restaurants in its class. It's not for everyone. It's probably a once in a decade experience for me.... Disney has a lot of hit or miss food, but it has some real gems too. This is one of them.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

A lot more sense as a ride that fits within the themes of AK?

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Again I'm not talking about focusing on the death part of this. It's one aspect of the setting but not the only one. To use your Up analogy that would be like saying that the ride couldn't take place in the house because Ellie died there at one point in the film. My point is let's see what...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

It's also the location where Mirabel and Abuela finally come to an understanding and where Mirabel essentially saves the family.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

It absolutely is a big part of what Encanto is about - it may not be what you appreciate about the film, but it's literally the climax of the film. And it's also where the family got their gifts. They wouldn't have to play up the death of her grandfather at all. One possible story...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

And the most important scene in the movie took place at a river. I would argue that this scene *is* one of the strengths of Encanto. https://screenrant.com/encanto-movie-real-locations-colombia-river-five-colors/ There's no reason that the ride couldn't start at Casita but then involve a...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

The Casita is not the only part of the movie. And the river is where Mirabel's grandfather was killed and the family got their gift.

Rumor Lion King Flume Ride being considered for Animal Kingdom

From a summary of the talk Joe gave on the 10th anniversary of AK: 2008 was well before Pandora was even a concept.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Which ones? I think this is exactly what happened. I was there last night and saw some floor lights. Granted, there may be some not working that I didn't notice as this past week was the first time I saw the new spine.

    Summer-like temperatures this weekend

I am here now and honestly it's hot but not that bad - the humidity is low. It was far worse when I was here in June of 2022 with similar temps but 98% humidity and a heat index approaching 110. Lots of water, fans, cooling towels and we are good.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

This is misleading. Genie+ has a 120 minute window to book another selection while still holding on to the first. If you use your first selection, you can book another one immediately. DAS only allows you to hold one selection at a time. You can't make a new one until you use the first...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I haven't been able to find anything, although I've seen a nunber of people online claim that they were going to file ADA complaints with the DOJ.
