Whew. All this talk about the balloon removal and I kept thinking about how that tall space would look without them. I'm glad they are coming back and I think the new design looks great!

Have you spotted anyone famous at WDW?

I saw Richard Simmons on Space Mountain in 1986. He had his big hair and after he boarded and started to disappear around the corner up the lift hill he said "This is going to be so scarry!" Another Space Mountain sighting... In 1998 we were in the line just ouside the entrance and Dennis...

You won't catch me riding a horsie outside of WalMart, but sometimes theme park addicts need a quick fix.

    Favorite Non-Disney Park

Cedar Point I've been going to Cedar Point since I was a little kid. Now that I'm a big kid I still find the mix of trill rides amazing. They just keep getting better. I hope their fixation on building "extreme" rides settles down a bit.

    Pre-Trip Activity

I consulted with UPS on how long it would tak to get to the destination (Swan on the last trip). They said 5 business days so I shipped about 1 1/2 weeks prior to arrival to give myself a couple of days safety. We have also taken some backup goods just in case it was delayed getting to us. I...

    Pre-Trip Activity

Shipping the essentials When we had our baby we found out that due to airline weight restrictions it would cost us $$ to take all of our baby support equipment/supplies on the plane. So, one of our pre-trip rituals has been shipping (via UPS) our baby essentials to the WDW hotel we are staying...

Project Firefly: Animators aglow with plans for future

Animators a dying breed... sniff sniff It's hard to see this for of art dying in favor of computor animation. There is something warm about hand drawn cells that just dosen't come across with digital techniques. I hope the folks at Project Firefly find a market to support their craft.

    Mufasa Face

I have heard this rumor, but have not seen it myself. The rumor I have heard is that there is a face of a lion in the projection on the building. It can be seen from the back side of ToT from the road or water. I'm not sure if it is actually a gel over the lights or just the shadows on the...
