Is the Food & Wine event an obstruction at Epcot?

Combo of both. If you can find a park that's a 2-3 on touringplans.com scale, then theres no need to follow a touring plan. If you have a smart phone, I'd also leverage touringplans.com's app called Lines. It's up to the minute information on ride wait times and will display changing crowd...

Is the Food & Wine event an obstruction at Epcot?

Avoid Friday and Saturdays. Sunday was actually pretty low attendance, especially at night. Especially at that time of year, www.touringplans.com is gospel. Even if you don't use their touring plans (we don't); use their crowd calendar. It was spot on.

    Disney for FOURTEEN?!

I've done trips with groups ranging from 2 people to 17 people. I think the break even point is right around 8 people for keeping it together as 1 big group. Any larger it gets to be too much trying to plan to keep the entire group together the entire day. Biggest thing to be is flexible...

    Turkey Leg Versus Pork Shank..

Can I split the difference and have a corn dog instead? It's just as portable as the other two and it comes with a handle.

    2nd Time Round Is Better!

Teppan Edo. Was horrible in 2005...was awesome in 2012. Go figure.

PO French Quarter or Animal Kdm Lodge??

I don't know if there's a correct answer here; they're both a cut above some of the other resorts in their categories. With AKL you have superior theming, restaurants, and pools. With POFQ you have a smaller and more quaint layout, superior bus and transportation service, and location. It's...

    The Last Supper!

Three fingers of Dewar's Blue Label (12 year) on the rocks that I bring with me...as we stroll through the resort late at night. Just unwinding and breathing that beautiful Florida air.

    Simple... Pop vs French Quarter

POFQ. The jolt of going from a Deluxe to POFQ won't be as jarring. Quiet and well kept. Less in your face than POP. Bus and water taxi service at POFQ is best on property

    One Night..One Country..One Restaurant..

My unlikely choice is Germany.(Seriously, this question is like picking a favorite child) Biergarten. With Radeberger Pilsner the size of my head.

Port Orleans French Quarter vs. Riverside

We visited POFQ in mid-late October last year. Resort felt like it was half full. Never a line at the front desk, always room at the bar. Pools are great, albeit small. Met some great people from the St. Louis area that we sat around with for a few hours after bar close. Great, homey...

First Time At Caribbean Beach - Questions

Pros: Bright, tropical theming. Can see Epcot from a number of locations. Central to rest of the world. Good pool. Cons: Needs some refinement in terms of bus service. Massive layout. Best building (s): Martinique. We traveled with a large group when we stayed at CBR (our only time)...

    Restaurant Marrakesh - opinions?

Better food with cheaper prices at Tangerine Café. I have to think Restaurant Marrakesh is going to get phased/reimagined out once Spice Road Table opens...better use of space there.

    Pub Crawl with a Twist

I have to think a couple rounds with Robin Hood, Little John, and Friar Tuck would be pretty fantastic. Captain Jack and Mr. Gibbs get an honorable mention.

What is the best building at POFQ?

Building 3. Top Floor. We were there for 8 nights and the only noise we heard were the mid-afternoon lawn mowing.

Port Orleans French Quarter Vs Coronado Springs

POFQ is a no brainer when comparing to the rest of the moderates. Only drawback is the limited amenties. That being said, the superior bus services, boat transfers to Downtown Disney, and ease of navigation through the resort trumps all the negatives.

    Epcot dining dilemma....

Teppan Edo is very underrated, especially at lunchtime. Worth a visit. Plus it's dinner/lunch with a show.

    Transportation at POFQ

@Lucky is right. We only encountered 1 time while staying at POFQ where we actually stopped at Riverside as well. We were still picked up first at POFQ and then made the 4 stops at Riverside. I'm pretty sure it was a Wednesday morning bus heading to HS. Even after 5 pickups, the bus was...
