    Gas Prices

I think that is what it is here in Mexico. I filled up today and it was almost $30 when I convert the pesos into dollars. I too nearly pooped myself when I looked at the total. Thank goodness it is a small town and I don't drive much except back and forth to work.

Low Pay Buys Poor Quality in Theme Park Employees

This is the same thing that happened to me in the corporate world as an engineer. All I can say is I am fortunate to have gotten a new position recently. There were many great points in this thread. Espescially about how the aditude exists in some people that they can go right on to the next...

    Let the job hunt begin...

Good luck! I am off to Mexico today, with the new boss to visit the new job this week. I return there next week to get set up with a place and all that stuff. I make my final move sometime in September. I hope I can get my house ready to sell by then. I wish you all the best in the sale of...

Union Members Reject Preliminary Disney World Proposal

To add what might have already been stated, the labor laws for some states mandate the payment of OT for any hours over 8 worked per day. The laws become tricky for those that are salaried though. By all means, get familiar with your state's labor laws to see what exactly you should be...

    Firefox

Hmmm..... On my old P3 - 450 running XP and a stable older version of Mozilla, things go slow. That is unless the discussion board window gets covered by a different window. Changing from blue daylight to the quick setting helped a fair amount. On my newly built Athlon 64 running XP and...

Is Disney still a high moral company?

Well put! And very true. I have heard of, and actually know CMs who were fired for rather thin/questionable reasons. One thing in common was that they were full time with benefits. Lo and behold there is a hiring spree to fill positions with part-time people. It is obvious that they caried...

    Let the job hunt begin...

Bummer.... There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the quotes. I see people younger than me on the forums getting quotes matching what I pay for. And this is with the wheels in my mom's name as a low milage recreation vehicle and all that. Maybe a state to state thing. I was just in the...

    Let the job hunt begin...

Not quite the same avatar, but very close. I am on the SRT forums because I have a SRT-4. It is fun to open it up when space and saftey allows. What kind of job are you looking for? I am looking for a software engineering type job or something that will allow me to transition back into...

    Let the job hunt begin...

I'll be sure to keep an eye open for you. The reason I asked about the forums, is there is an RX7 owner there with a similar avatar. Sorry to hear about the commute messing the job search up. On a positive note, I looked at careerbuilder and monster last night for kicks, and it looks like...

    Let the job hunt begin...

Good luck, but the fact is, you will either need a recruiter or someone willing to let you use an Orlando address. I have been tech job searching, off and on, for about 2 years now with only a couple of responses. Recently, my current company set me up with a cool international assignment...

    Royal Wedding in Spain

I'll probably burn for this, but yes she does. You on the other hand don't look a day over 24. ;) I have no shame when it comes to the ladies.

    Royal Wedding in Spain

Wow I guess I don't follow the royals of Spain too much. Didn't realize there was a wedding. My condolances to you Maria for your loss of the prince. LOL... As long as princess Victoria of Sweden is single I am good to go. It'll be a sad day for me when she marries.

Favorite Beverage at Ice Station Cool

I had a blast tricking students I mentor for FIRST robotics into trying Beverly at the Coke museum in Atlanta. Man I am thankful for Ice Station Cool for prepare myself for that. One student and I drank 3 or so full cups of the stuff to prove to the rest how "manly" we are! Talk...

    Monorail Display Toys

If I were to make an educated guess, I'd say that this is a toy that has been repainted green. A tip off is the line that stronger motor options are avaiable. Be wary of things like this.

Cell Phone Coverage @ WDW ºOº

I have found AT&T and Sprint to work fairly well around the Disney/Buena Vista area. In fact Sprint is a bit better than AT&T as far as strength. I am not sure about T-Mobil as I know no one who has it and has been to WDW.

    Sharing food on Silver Package

If you quoted the text correctly, then I would say that you are technically not allowed to share. Depending on the apathy of the server/managment though, you might be able to pull it off. Just don't state it up front. Order and then ask for a small plate or the like when you get your meals...

    The Gilmore Girls

I'll watch it every now and again. I think I might have a crush on Lauren Grahm (AKA Laurali). :lookaroun Also, I really think Angel is on a roll this season. I wouldn't say that they ran out of ideas.
