I'd wager that most people would obviously pick Splash over this attraction if given the choice. But that doesn't necessarily mean that this is a bad attraction. I very much look forward to making new memories on this one.

They aren't. They have decided what types of disabilities they think make sense for DAS going forward. Everyone else is able to request accommodations as needed at each attraction and based on your situation, your party, etc. they will come a some resolution to help that guest.

Pretty much. Their attempt to thwart any bad perceptions that they think may be derived from poor quality footage. That being said, the quality of this production is not great. The dynamic range is horrible as is the audio. I fully expect vlogger or guests to produce videos of much better quality.

It’s interesting, based on all the information I’ve been gathering, it seems like Disney is limiting DAS specifically to neurological and mental conditions and is arguing that physical issues are present everywhere throughout the park and that a DAS pass doesn’t necessarily solve anything.

Correct, there isn’t. We appreciate the attractions of the past because of their history to both us personally and the company. But the reality is that standards are so high today from a technology standpoint that attractions cost many multiples more than they did 25+ years ago. The talent to...

I disagree.

Splash was iconic since it opened. A retheme never stood a chance in terms of ranking ahead of it. But I still think it looks really enjoyable.

The ironic thing is if Splash were built as it was for the first time in 2024, it would be heavily ridiculed as having cheap looking sets. You’ll never convince me otherwise.

I had a completely different impression of the voided areas. To me, it felt like we were leaving the scene were everyone was singing and dancing to a deeper, quiet part of the forest where you could prominently hear the crickets, etc. That was actually my favorite part of the whole attraction.

But they might, no? PATF is a much more recently relevant and well known film to the general public.

I largely expect wait time impacts to be most noticeable during very, very busy times. I would be surprised if we still see LL queues extended way beyond attraction entrances.

Totally not dismissing that, and I totally agree that’s what Disney’s specialty is. I think you have to ride it first to be sure it’s not there though.
