As of right now, the score is 43 to 4, in favor of Pirates of the Caribbean, and I'm surprised it's that close. Peter Pan is a cute ride, and I enjoy riding it, but Pirates of the Caribbean is an absolute masterpiece. The complexity of the scenes, the music, the effects, costuming, sounds, etc...

Try to encourage them to at least wait with you in line so you can go on it, even if they don't want to ride it. That way, at least you get some time to visit and chat together. I did this with my daughter who wanted to ride Tower of Terror. I didn't want to ride on it. However, after waiting...

I get where you're coming from. I have heart issues and need to be careful about what I ride. I would love to go on certain rides with my kids, but it's not worth risking another heart attack. I'm sure your family would rather have you around in good health than risk it riding a roller coaster.

I hope you'll post a trip report. Don't let the mean girls and boys stop you (and the rest of us) from having fun. I, for one, would love to see a trip report from you. This board and the world needs more happy stuff.

Nice trip report. Wilderness Lodge is one of my two favorite resorts that I've never stayed at. Maybe some day.

I'm an early person, although I nearly always stay until closing, whatever time that is. I prefer the early entry. However, there's so many people there that it hardly seems like a benefit at all. I would rather see them limit it to ONLY Disney on-property resorts, and not the Good Neighbor...

Something to keep in mind is the inherent danger involved in staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Not the animals, but for me, after a whole stay of hearing me repeating all those bad Jungle Cruise jokes over and over again, my family would kill me.
