    The Magic is gone!

THANK-YOU! That is precisely how I feel. Disney has indeed lost my future support. So glad I didn't buy into Old Key West when they first offered it. I pity the fools who accepted the Disney Vacation Club. Got to admit that I was slightly tempted though, but the fact that it was a time share...

    The Magic is gone!

AMOS, Bless your heart! If only you could have experienced WDW as we did in the 80s and 90s. It would help you to understand my point about the Magic. I'm happy for Disney that their Bottom Line is on the rise, but for us who live in my region the general consensus is that the Magic is no...

I encourage you to build the best possible memories that you can. You only live once, "Carpe Diem". :)

    The Magic is gone!

LOL, we stayed at the Yacht Club this last time. It was very difficult for me to walk away from the resort to go to the parks. I've been to WDW so many times that riding anything is no big deal for me. But When the grand kids are with you, my saying I'll catch it later isn't always an option...

    The Magic is gone!

SaLeone, You say we are complaining, and truer words have not been written. My complaint is that I love visiting WDW, but Disney has forgotten Walt's promise in Welcoming all those that come to this place. I am very optimistic that I will take my grand children to somewhere they will enjoy. I...

    The Magic is gone!

AJH, curious if Universal and the other parks are experiencing the same situation of over crowding. My oldest daughter has been hounding me to go to "Harry Potter's". It's been decades since I visited Universal, sorry I was never really interested. Maybe now would be a time to see all that.

    The Magic is gone!

TOM MORROW, very well put. I get the sense that you and I were there at the same times years ago. Too bad our families never met, we could've had some laughs together on the TTA.

    The Magic is gone!

Have to agree with POLY LOVER on this one. Offering Florida residents special prices helps contribute to the crowding. Problem is folks plan vacations sometimes a year in advance. Imagine the surprise if your last day in Florida is blacked out for locals only. I suggest they do away with the...

    The Magic is gone!

Sweet thought, but why are you sorry? I have many fond memories of trips years past that will last me a life time. It's my grand children who will never experience the Magic with the quality that their parents were able too. Please don't let me discourage you from visiting.

    The Magic is gone!

That's an aspect I didn't think about, and now that you mentioned it, that makes sense of why we struggled to get through the parks. Almost as if they had no place to go. Are these locals that are doing this?

    The Magic is gone!

I envy you (Tom Morrow) in that you can still see the Silver Lining somewhere. For me, it's all been tarnished.

    The Magic is gone!

Face it folks, we all knew it was a matter of time before everyone else caught on to our tricks of when to go and when not to go to WDW. My preferred time was the 1st two weeks of December. But,between the Brazilians love for Disney World and Europeans disgust of Disney Paris, everyone is...

Crowds growing in off season is HS & AK expansions too little too late?

I whole downheartedly agree with you. It's sort of the reason I started this forum to see how people were reacting to the crowd increases. The general feel that I'm getting is most folks are feeling the same. The average WDW Trip for runs about $10K. for me and if I'm going to drop that amount...

Crowds growing in off season is HS & AK expansions too little too late?

Hey Thanks for answering! It's really reassuring to hear you talk like that, because it must just be me then. My family and I discuss this all the time and the topic always turns to the crowds. Could be we long for those days back in the early 90's when off season meant zero waiting and you...

Crowds growing in off season is HS & AK expansions too little too late?

Hey I realize that the days of hitting the Parks during off season and crowd levels being a minimum are long over with. But isn't it getting a little bit crazy. So am I being too sensitive to my personal space or have any of you (my fellow Disney-addicts) begun to feel the same way?
