Btw, @marni1971 , I'm hearing a scaled- down refurb for Spaceship Earth is greenlit. You have better contacts than me on that one. Let us know if you hear anything. I'm thinking the ride requires significant maintenance to get up and running or they wouldn't spend money at this time.

This actually sounds like an improvement on regular operations. Being able to see Mickey etc. just hanging out at the train station and princes/princesses at the castle is much better than having them shut away in buildings behind long lines.

Having the stormtroopers at Disney Springs is a nice touch.

In TDR the characters will obviously pose with people normally but they do a great job of posing for pictures with no one in them.

Weather and active hours limit how much of an improvement, but optimistically I agree.

At my DD's age, this just might be. When she was younger, waiting in line to meet princesses was great but she has (sadly, IMO) outgrown that. But waving to characters as we walk by is still fun and add's depth to the place. We all really enjoyed seeing the Stormtroops, Rey/Kylo walking around in Galaxy's Edge.

Yeah we’re probably gonna move to next June and do a long weekend to Uni this fall.

I was never really into getting pictures with characters in the first place, so I actually like the idea of them just being there and “living” in the park instead of being at the end of a line. Hopefully when meet and greets return eventually, we still get some moments with characters just hanging out somewhere.
