I would love to talk about this data.

It's the Year of Our Lord 2026 and Fleetwood Mac's 1977 album Rumours is the #5-selling rock album:

Sabrina Carpenter makes the most sense after the show.
Both of these would be excellent. I'd love Gaga too since she's had her Muppet special about a decade ago and has very iconic tracks.

Maybe some Queen? Bowie? I'd personally love Muse, but I know they're likely not big enough.

Are they trying to get artists on the actual recording with the muppets?

Gaga's scenes with Pepe are iconic.

The only artist I heard about specifically was Sabrina. My understanding coming out of that convo was that the soundtrack would be a mix of Mayhem covers and occasional pop star appearances. I think that's a great idea.

"Under Pressure" is one of my all-time favorites. It's perfect.

The email I sent to my WDI friends:

The two best Led Zeppelin tracks for this ride are Rock ‘n’ Roll and The Immigrant Song, especially at the launch sequence with Animal singing.

Likewise, Ozzy is Crazy Train, and since we’re lobbying here, the April 28, 1981 version where Randy’s playing the selector switch like a tremolo during the intro. Or start with the first verse and have Janice do the pulloffs Randy did live.

Please, for the love of God, don’t use Panama as the Van Halen song. It’s cliche. I can live with Jump. Jump is a classic. Every era of VH fan loves it, Dave, Sammy, Gary, Mitch, whatever.

The Who’s song should be Baba O’Reilly or Love, Reign O’er Me, but I’ll settle for Won’t Get Fooled Again.

Jimi’s is Purple Haze, which Disney won’t pick. Crosstown Traffic is kind of obvious and May This Be Love is too obscure, so All Along The Watchtower it is. Or the National Anthem.

Iron Maiden would be Run to the Hills because Hallowed Be Thy Name and Number of the Beast aren’t family-friendly. I’d settle for Iron Maiden.

AC/DC is Back in Black?

Prince should be 1999 or Little Red Corvette, because Purple Rain is too slow and Raspberry Beret isn’t as popular.

Metallica is Enter Sandman.

Nirvana is SMTS.

Green Day is Holiday.

Pearl Jam should be Yellow Ledbetter because it’s funny if Animal sings it, but Janice doing Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town would be nice.

STP is Interstate Love Song

Foo Fighters would be Everlong.

Related: I'm told there's a media preview for a RnRC song on April 15. Trying to get more details.

And I think the media event is the week of May 18? So seems likely we'll have a RnRC opening date by then.
I’m guessing that just means that they move an MP3 file into whatever computer is in the trains, but I like the idea of a Disney influencer listening party with songs that mostly came out over 30 years ago.

I suspect that whatever song we get is going to be something the yutes appreciate. So it's either newish or, you know, Fleetwood Mac.

Which version, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, The Bob Welch era or the Buckingham/Nicks era? Though admittedly I am not sure anything post-Tango in The Night would ever be considered.

I noticed many of the recommendations might be categorized as– erm, classic rock. I'm not really into Muppets, so I'm wondering if they only do music from a certain era, or if it's just an association fans make from the good old days?

I guess what I'm asking is: should the Muppets version of the Rock'n'Roller Coaster be about older (but not too much older!) rock, and not include new(ish) rock?

It's specifically themed around Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem who are a psychedelic rock band, so the older music fits their vibe more.
