The budget for two themed screens and a safety video vs the yeti fix is comically different and probably funded out of different budgets, and you probably know this but ok sure
Yes, but the fact that they think that one is more important than the other does speak to a lack of priorities for the company regardless of what budget it is allocated from.

Yes improving efficiency/safety for a ride for a relatively minimal cost compared to completely fixing animatronic in a difficult position that is seen for 1 second is usually a pretty easy decision. Like these aren’t even apples and oranges.

I understand that at some point you need safety instructions, possibly / preferably from video.

Part of me wonders if it is a teeny little bit ill at ease with the themed environment, which is somewhat low tech / 90s backpacking through only partly modernised areas. (There are no yetis where there are modern smart phones with GPS and 8k video). The way there is no video on Thunder or recorded music on the Treehouse (just an organ).
Maybe it's a VHS loop or the like? Can't tell from the photos. That would be great.

Did these replace the Magicband interactive posters that would show your name? Have they abandoned that whole idea of your name showing up on screens via Magicband?
Yes. At least I think they have.

These new screens have been up for (at least) a month already.

The Magicband screens have also been removed from small world, and RNRC (before it closed).

The bands do still light up at specific locations in the park though. A few of the golden statues still work, HM, and during at least one of the fireworks shows.

Having used the bands for several years, at least one of them is no longer working/charging. They were supposed to last longer than the non-charging bands. IMO, the hassle of charging them: taking them on/off over and over, having to find an outlet, having to keep track of the special charger cables far outweighs the small fun of the way the bands light-up. I've never played the game in GE, but the golden statues game never worked properly.

Instead of fixing the game, they just abandoned it. Once bitten twice shy.

This is one of the many ways the current era of WDW is flawed.
