I don't think they confirmed anything about an Encanto meet-and-greet space at TA, but I think it's very likely we will get an Encanto and Indiana Jones meet-and-greets at TA somewhere

I don't understand why they can't be mentioned anymore. They got their Disney press pass back. But I also wasn't around when they were banned.

This is a 20 year old issue that this site management had with the owner. Nothing to do with their losing a press pass or most of their staff, but a relatively old schism with the owner.
Behaviour like losing a press pass more than a decade later affirms their position. Considering how lightly this forum is moderated and how little is on the black list, I’d tend to side that the problem is one sided and correctly they’ve chosen here to just have no part of it.

Just a bit of speculation on my part, but maybe there's a plan to let natural light into one of the rooms of the attraction?

These tests aren’t really about weathering. There isn’t time to sit around waiting to watch them for years. It’s about techniques, the ability to replicate them as desired and seeing them at scale. Being outside also provides natural light instead of something like a warehouse where the lighting would be completely wrong.

This was the basis for my thought that maybe they are just trying to observe them in natural light because they plan on letting natural light into one of the rooms via skylight(s) or whatever, especially if one room is said to be transformed into a rainforest. If studio lighting is wrong for the application, then wouldn't that also indicate that that indoor ride lighting is also not correct for the scene?

That actually makes a whole lot of sense.
It would be a really cool to see them mimic the lighting you typically see in rainforest.

I do wonder how they would approach an indoor rainforest, and I also wish there could also be actual water in said rainforest. As someone who used to enjoy the rain machines inside Living With the [Word Redacted]
, I really miss the rainfall at the start of that ride that set the mood. Whether or not they let in natural light and/or have real water in said indoor rainforest is up in the air. Of course, real water would probably be at odds with quite a few types of ride vehicles, or else there would need to be much space or possibly a barrier between any real water and said ride vehicle, unless it was a boat ride attraction. This makes me doubt it a little bit, but you never know.That was going to be my next question, as I haven't heard anything yet. If we still don't know, I'm honestly surprised that we haven't actually gotten a leak or ride patent application or anything of the sort yet, at least that I'm aware of.

This thread has lots of information from trusted insiders. It’s not a boat ride. It’s been described as similar to the figment ride system.

Thanks. Did you mean this exact thread or a different one on this forum. This one is only a few pages long, and I admittedly read through it pretty quickly, so maybe I missed something about the Encanto ride system.

Yes, there will be an Encanto ride.
There's been some insider info on the type of ride 'leaked.' But that keeps changing, so, nothing's confirmed for sure.
Disney often gives broad strokes as to what's coming, usually in the form of a name and very very vague and unreliable concept art.
Disney rarely keeps us updated about construction until they get to the point of starting to test the ride internally. That leaves a huge gap in information. Then we get people who are impatient being petulant about not being kept apprised of every step of the way, and the disgruntled claiming the lack of news is a sign that something's wrong.
We don't know stuff and we won't know stuff for maybe a year to come. It's Disney's way. They aren't being mean to fans by being silent, and they aren't in trouble.
