At the bare minimum because they have the potential to make a lot of money if they can come up with some unique items for the menu.A snack stand I can see

It's just whether they go Cozy Cone from DCA, or Laughing Cow Truck from Disney Adventure World for Cars themed food?At the bare minimum because they have the potential to make a lot of money if they can come up with some unique items for the menu.
Or just sell old style MickyD's french fries......At the bare minimum because they have the potential to make a lot of money if they can come up with some unique items for the menu.
So …. do you think they were seriously in the red post Covid then?Sorry but I disagree. They’re not canceling a second attraction because of a theoretical, short term, potential dip in the economy. These rides take years to build. They are only cutting if they are seriously in the red, which they are not and will not be anytime soon.
Why not both? It's just whether they go Cozy Cone from DCA, or Laughing Cow Truck from Disney Adventure World for Cars themed food?
Thanks for the update.
Getting taller all the timehow tall is the retaining wall closer to BTM? it looks fairly large.
They are at 2 different stages I believe. Is it me or does this project seem sort of at a standstill?
I see many smaller sections coming together and materials being gathered in place for installation but no heavy equipment in place like TA.
Yea Disney doesn’t have any incentive to rush this project. They are at 2 different stages I believe.
If they are spacing the projects a year apart - Tropical Americas 2027
Monsters 2028
Piston Peak 2029
An Easter egg of a former attraction is quite common.love seeing the photos of all the open land. interesting to consider the railroad will still need to cut right through the middle of that. doesn't seem like that much space really when you add in a mini river. They could clear out more next to and behind the haunted mansion. if big thunder does reopen soon it will be interesting to see the vantage point from there. I remain confused about them getting rid of Big Als and Westward Ho soon but not tearing down the old riverboat landing structures that are obsolete and serve no purpose other than a grave marker for the Rivers of America.
True but in this case Cars and Villians were both basically announced at the same time and even though individually neither one can be called a true land, combined they are designed, in my opinion, to be a completely separate island, if you will, not having anything to do with Frontier or Liberty Square. For sure an oddity as far as the normal way that Disney usually or originally was set up. I think that as much as I hated the loss of RoA scenery, I think that the outcome of that move will be a help in the crowd problem and really be a better use of that very valuable property, plus will be utilized and enjoyed by far more guests than were being entertained before. In the end, Disney is a business entity as much as we like to not acknowledge that. But, going by what they have stated something is does set expectations. If they said a Cars Land, we'd be expecting something similar to Radiator Springs with 3 rides, and multiple dining establishments and shops. What they've actually announced is Piston Peak will be an addition to Frontierland with 2 rides, so we should only expect 2 rides at the moment unless they later update us. We don't even know for definite if there will be a shop or anywhere to eat in Piston Peak, as they don't need to add restaurants to a land that already has them
People love to acknowledge that when it’s convenient for them.Disney is a business entity as much as we like to not acknowledge that.
It’s site work. It’s a stage where changes aren’t easily noticed. Thanks for the update.

Eventually I’m assuming it will be full steam ahead with work really ramping up soon.
Send EVE from Wall-e to save it.
That's an inaccurate description of what I was saying. Please stop putting words in my mouth! I never claimed it having two rides is the primary reason it's a land, and you offered NOT ONE single alternative name to call such a consistently themed area (sometimes containing multiple rides) besides "a land", when I repeatedly asked for another name to use, so that some of you folks would stop being offended by the use of the word. It's really not that deep to most people. Disney's official terminology for the area is to call it a "National Park", for crying out loud! Are you going to gatekeep anyone that's NOT calling it a national park?Presumably, people come to this board to get accurate information and updates, so again, how you uniquely perceive it beyond the bounds of what it officially is remains irrelevant to absolutely everyone but you. The original reason the discussion came up at all was to justify why the area "must" have at least two attractions. That's not even a requirement for a land to begin with, but if it were, Disney's official designation would be important. Your headcanon would not be.
I do love the idea of easter eggs for previous attractions, and there does seem to be at least the barrel bridges retained from TSI at Piston Peak, going by the artwork. However, I really cannot see the riverboat landing being used for a HM queue, because then the queue would go right across the path to get to Villains, which kind of reverses the idea of Piston Peak being designed in a way to get an unobstructed flow if people back to Villains Land area, on both sides. An Easter egg of a former attraction is quite common.
And I think someone suggested the riverboat landings might be used in a re-routed queue for HM.
