Thanks for the update.
Is it me or does this project seem sort of at a standstill?
I see many smaller sections coming together and materials being gathered in place for installation but no heavy equipment in place like TA.
Eventually I’m assuming it will be full steam ahead with work really ramping up soon.

They are at 2 different stages I believe.

Yea Disney doesn’t have any incentive to rush this project.
It’s still moving at a good pace but I noticed the last two weeks that not many changes have occurred except the retaining wall getting bigger.
At least, Villain's Land will have shade!!!

love seeing the photos of all the open land. interesting to consider the railroad will still need to cut right through the middle of that. doesn't seem like that much space really when you add in a mini river. They could clear out more next to and behind the haunted mansion. if big thunder does reopen soon it will be interesting to see the vantage point from there. I remain confused about them getting rid of Big Als and Westward Ho soon but not tearing down the old riverboat landing structures that are obsolete and serve no purpose other than a grave marker for the Rivers of America.

An Easter egg of a former attraction is quite common.
And I think someone suggested the riverboat landings might be used in a re-routed queue for HM.

True but in this case Cars and Villians were both basically announced at the same time and even though individually neither one can be called a true land, combined they are designed, in my opinion, to be a completely separate island, if you will, not having anything to do with Frontier or Liberty Square. For sure an oddity as far as the normal way that Disney usually or originally was set up. I think that as much as I hated the loss of RoA scenery, I think that the outcome of that move will be a help in the crowd problem and really be a better use of that very valuable property, plus will be utilized and enjoyed by far more guests than were being entertained before. In the end, Disney is a business entity as much as we like to not acknowledge that.

That's an inaccurate description of what I was saying. Please stop putting words in my mouth! I never claimed it having two rides is the primary reason it's a land, and you offered NOT ONE single alternative name to call such a consistently themed area (sometimes containing multiple rides) besides "a land", when I repeatedly asked for another name to use, so that some of you folks would stop being offended by the use of the word. It's really not that deep to most people. Disney's official terminology for the area is to call it a "National Park", for crying out loud! Are you going to gatekeep anyone that's NOT calling it a national park?
It's time to give this conversation a rest, because it's derailing this thread, and to say that someone is going to come here looking for accurate information, only to somehow be mislead or confused by someeone calling Piston Peak National Park™ a land, is a pretty outrageous claim, when Nobody in the real world actually cares how you refer to this land-shaped-area!

I do love the idea of easter eggs for previous attractions, and there does seem to be at least the barrel bridges retained from TSI at Piston Peak, going by the artwork. However, I really cannot see the riverboat landing being used for a HM queue, because then the queue would go right across the path to get to Villains, which kind of reverses the idea of Piston Peak being designed in a way to get an unobstructed flow if people back to Villains Land area, on both sides.
I think that there's a very strong chance that the new building going up on the map-left side of HM will be the new queue entrance, as it would make total sense to pull people out of the way of the new walking path between the new Piston Peak entrance and HM.
The old riverboat landing at Liberty Square will look out to the waterfall to the left, and suspended bridge to the right. I have speculated that it will be a National Park overlook-themed area for photos, and I could see it having a couple food options, but again, that's just my speculation.
