DHS Disney Animation-Inspired Experience Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

agree, like while we all could say we would've preferred a ride or a big new land, at the end of the day this is a great new refresh of an awful space and really helps DHS. plus love the new animation stuff coming and the new disney studios signage and easter eggs

I’ll ask a question I’ve asked before - how is this “refresh” making the area better then it was a decade ago, when it was such a wasteland Animation was replaced by Launch Bay?
The big changes are an AA replacing a live cast member in the animation show and a children’s playground replacing some indoor interactive exhibits. What’s the big upgrade?

Id argue sometimes disney makes mistakes and removing the original animation academy was one of them. So I applaud them bringing it back and if they wanna experiment by doing it in a new way great. bring back AA, bring back people mover, and bringback dream finder. as yeah most of the times the replacements of stuff are better but once in a while they are not and launch bay was NOT

I think you have to take into account that the park as a whole was in a different place when The Magic of Disney Animation closed in 2015. Toy Story Land was three years away, Galaxy's Edge was four years away, Backlot Tour had recently closed, and a slew of areas/attractions were about to close (Streets of America, Lights Motors, Honey I Shrunk, etc.). Launch Bay was a stopgap that's no longer necessary.

While I doubt it happens considering HS is getting / has gotten a ton of fresh ideas; I really wish they'd put the BATB show to bed lol.
Villains Show > Cars Show
Monsters 3D show < Muppet Vision 3D, but massive upgrade w/ Monstropolis altogether & a new coaster.
Animation Studios > Launch Bay
Muppet Coast = Aerosmith Coaster
Doesn't sway me at all, but a new Kids show > old/tired characters.
Upgrade Little Mermaid > Old version
They've done well -- slow progress, but still progress!

Looks like the walls around Mermaid will be moved back soon since they're adding a new construction wall along the left side of the triangular planter.

Why? I wish it would get more comfortable seating and some climate control but it seems to be very popular.

Seeing color here is actually refreshing again. I’m so tired of seeing grey everywhere and that goes way beyond just Disney

I think the 35 year old stage shows is really showing it's age. I'd like to see something new (or at least an upgrade).
With the recent Indy effect cuts and Indiana Jones Animal Kingdom Adventure coming in a year, it feels like that might be the next domino in that park anyway.
