Lightning Lane Premier Pass

Plenty of people have claimed lines would be greatly reduced if Disney went standby only. I have no desire to go searching but they have also referenced the “documentary” that defuctland did as the bible also on that
So you made a false statement pulled from your nether regions with zero proof. Gotcha. No one has ever made the claim you continue to put forth.

You have "no desire to go searching". That fits.

To be fair I have read that before on this board many times.

People do state that stand by lines could be reduced if lightening lane didn’t exist.

I think there is some merit to that statement but I don’t think that is a clean cut thought either.

Lines would move better, not be reduced. Constant forward progress, for the most part, instead of stopping and starting and waiting for LL people to be moved in ahead of the standby line. It happened during the months post-shutdown when it was all standby - Lines moved at a fairly consistent rate. If anyone stated lines would be reduced without LL, I would say to them that they are just as delusional - Removing LL doesn't get rid of people in the parks.

Who made a false statement?!? I stated where it came from. There have been countless discussions about people claiming lines would be reduced if we went to standby only. You have to be living under a rock or in a coma if you havent seen the discussions. If you dont believe me thats fine i dont care but i also am not wasting my time searching on some disney forum go pull up the thread on the Documentary for starters.

The discussion were that lines would move better without LL. Which they would.

I missed that. He said the “illusion” would disappear, not the lines.

That seems to fall in with people who say an hour while moving feels faster than an hour while standing still.
See I read it as that people have an illusion that the long wait times would disappear if we got rid of LLMP/LLPP. (As in the wait times won't actually change that much)

@Splash4eva can correct one of us.

Nope…
An extremely high number sadly. Luckily for Disney they only need a small portion of the US and Overseas guests to come and spend their money
And again…nope

You’re confus-ed

The contention was always that the lines would move faster with no skips…which makes sense on the omnimover and large capacity rides. Does not mean there wouldn’t be lines. That can happen anyway if Bob…errr I mean…”Josh” raises prices three times this year…but that’s just hypothetical at this point.
I got an idea…a mixture of paid and complementary line skips for all…to account for the entire spectrum of preferences, entitlement, bad days, and acts of god that makes each person’s “story” distinctly their own.

It will be magic

Okay so. Im gonna make one last statement here. My statement had a double meaning
A. Just because you move and the wait is 60 minutes its does NOT change the fact the wait is still 60 minutes of your time. Meaning. No time was saved on a constant moving vs stop and go line

B). Some people also feel that eliminating all these options and go strictly stand by will magically reduce wait times from say 60 minutes to 30 minutes (arbitrary here).

Either way. I & we have spent way too much time on this hypothetical. It be a fun test if they ever did this. Either one thing i do know is part A above is 100% factual the rest is mental and i live in the real world where reality is all that matters….

Enjoy the NCAA tourney and Go Johnnies tomorrow night!!!

Again…you’re showing your cards as to why you always dive into these line skip tussles.
We know.

By the way…I’m really tall…so I’m on record and I accept it. No sense in me trying to convince anyone otherwise…personal opinions can be just as rigid

Dang some people must have a lot of cash to burn. I can remember 10 years ago when we would go every year that getting 7-day park access with hopper was perhaps $1,800 for the three of us - including picking our 3 fastpasses of course. I thought that was outrageous at the time.

Just throwing out some numbers here.

$1,800 in 2016 is worth $2,440.00 today.

Using the second week of June this year (for lack of a better date), a 7 day hopper ticket is $849.36 or $2,548.08 for three people.

Not that much of a difference. Obviously time of year matters a lot.

Except the pay scale hasn’t risen at that rate

If you’re cashing out your stock portfolio to buy lightning lanes…ya ain’t doing it right.

My god…long island sucks.
