Wall Street is forward looking. They're not looking at now, they're looking at what happens 2-3 quarters from now.

I think we all can agree that Wall Street isn't sold on Josh and Dana, because the movement has only been down.

Just one of the many reasons why they needed to go outside the castle for leadership.

Now I’’m nervous for Josh D’Amaro as CEO of Disney. Since his first week has been crazy, now I’m starting to have a funny feeling maybe he’s not the right guy to be CEO of Disney! I’m not going to say it’s the end of Disney. I hate saying that! I just hope Josh and of course, Dana will steer the ship at Disney. But sadly, you guys keep seeing the worst of it!😢

He may not be, but one week generally isn't enough time to form a reasonable opinion one way or the other. Disney is a big company, and it will likely take some time for whatever direction he wants to go to become apparent.

Concern is warranted…but it’s too early to really know anything.

The main concern - which is debated amongst fandom - is if he’s just an extension of Bob and the board (which is Bob)??

That pulls in to question if they’re being well run and for how long?

…I have no opinion 🤥

Josh is in the catbird seat on the stock price. With it down the odds are he can goose it up more than shoot it down so good for Josh.
Now he really isn't CEO until 4/1 right? So still time for Bob the pop up with "April Fools!" I'm staying on........
It’s not “down”…it hasn’t moved much at all for years…and has been maybe mentioned - is flat over a decade…

That seems to indicate it’s more of at it’s ceiling. And against drunk market where everyone gets rich daily…that’s trouble: Wall Street style.

Their revenue hasn’t been able to keep up with the expectation of an easy profits as it’s transitioned from cable to…parks?

Parks are NOT meant to pull an entire entertainment company. No sir…it’s a critical flaw that they won’t admit.

They really need another media source…and it ain’t Hulu

Possibly?

Wouldn’t the market like to close down Pixar studios and move the staff to Disney Feature Animation? That Pixar complex has got to be crazy expensive.

Lots of things to cut if that’s the goal.
Yeah…I don’t know how long catmull can stay held up in his Alamo before the accountants decide to redline it?

The same…and even worse situation…is in the presidio…where they’ve basically crashed the “shiny object” that was bought partially for mystique and now sits as overhead without much fruit to pick up off the ground.

I chuckle when I look back to all of Bobs purchases and initiatives that were supposed to redefine the future of the company and make it an unstoppable media force for investors.

Marvel
Star Wars
Pixar
21CF
D+
Hulu

All introduced with tremendous fanfare, all unable to deliver any investor value, all hobbled by junk leadership.

As I’ll repeat the stock has been flat for more than a decade…

Chapek rocked the boat with DPEP pretty quickly into his term and ticked off a lot of the Disney deep state in the process by changing things

Josh knows that Bob and Dana are uncomfortably close right behind him waiting. He also is very much aware of what happened to Chapek. This is certainly not healthy.

The needed someone new to come in and clean the cobwebs out of the house. Instead they got more of the same. Which despite what Disney PR can spIn to the low information dusters and cupcake brigade is very much not working.

He should know…since he was one of three bagmen that bob said…I mean…the Hollywood reporter and WSJ “concluded” took out Slaphead

And the other two were offed faster than you could say “grassy knoll”

Fortunately for him he has been given a fairly low benchmark to work against. Whether its 95 or 100 USD, we can certainly judge him in 18-24 months.

Obviously there is an oil shock occurring, but these days there’s always something.
The collapse of their linear cable meal ticket and a bumbled 20 year response falls into the something?
