Lightning Lane Premier Pass

$449, per person, per day...on top of that already ridiculous $200+ daily ticket, per person, per day.

Just to be accurate:

Daily Tickets April 4th: MK $199, EPCOT $194 DHS $194 AK $179

However, who buys daily tickets?
2 Tickets - $362.33 or $181.17 per ticket
3 Tickets - $534.62 or $178.20 per ticket
4 Tickets - $679.72 or $169.93 per ticket
5 Tickets - $761.47 or $152.29 per ticket.

My next trip, I am buying a single day ticket to MK... along with the D+ 3 park tickets. It's actually cheaper than a 4 day ticket for my dates.

Similar to Christmas, purchasing a 7-day park ticket, with no park hopping, around the Easter weekend is $883/adult, with tax. Tack another $478 per person (tax included) on for a LLPP at MK and you are looking at $604 per person. To be able to be a park commando and ride every ride once "with lower waits".

Adding park hopping to that ticket will add an additional $100 per person total, which would push the one-day total for MK plus LLPP with the ability to park hop to $618 per person.

Sure, and I did a quick trip to see Muppets 3D last year and had to buy a single day DHS ticket. My statement isn't that it never happens, it's just far less common than people buying multiple tickets.

They really ought to ditch the cheaper LLMP and make LLPP the only option. It would solve a lot of problems with the way their skip the line system has always behaved in all iterations.

Universal figured out the skip the line systems only really work when it’s a premium product used by a specific kind of guest rather than a whole park of folks trying to use it. But Disney wants that sweet, sweet LL revenue so bad they won’t take the lesson.

Universal Express works as well as it does because it’s not cheap, therefore there aren’t thousands and thousands of people trying to use it all at once.

Many disney guests (like myself) have come to expect the idea of skipping some lines on our disney vacation. If the only option for that was suddenly out of my budget... Disney becomes a less attraction vacation destination for me.

I'm not saying I would never go to disney... but it would be less frequent for sure.

It shouldn’t have been free or cheap in the first place. They are the only ones who did that (and one of very few who still do) and as such stand mostly alone in their park experience suffering for it.

Universal, Herschend, and many EU parks all price their skip the line systems as a premium product and their operations suffer very little for it.

The only Universal attraction being hurt by Express is Hagrid’s but that was always going to be a nightmare. There’s dozens of Disney rides being hurt by LL.

They would lose too many of the multi-generational guests that way, including me.

It’s not like Disney didn’t consider the options.

What problems are you alluding to?

The Premier is selling. The regular version is selling and the Individual ones are selling as well. There has been basically no online “outrage” over people not liking any version of the product or demanding refunds etc. So unless the problem is finding a way to get people to spend more money i dont know what the issue is

Apparently the current iteration is used by a whole park full of folks instead of a specific kind of guest.

Which also means at Uni you have 2 options, pay out the wazoo or wait in longer lines on every single ride. I personally like having an option in the middle.

In the “it will never happen” category, I would like to have a month long experiment with no LL, just to see how the place functions.

I much prefer the DLP system.

Either pay big for the Ultimate Pass, or pay as you go with pretty much immediate access, with a limit of 3 times per attraction per day. For shows you can pay for a guaranteed seat.

We had that coming out of Covid. I went in October 2021 right before G+ came out (missed it my like 2 weeks I think).

For someone like me that knows the systems inside and out... it was my "worst"* Disney vacation because every line was a wait.

*I still had a great time, but the day's flew by and I missed some of my favorite rides that I've never missed with FP, FP+, G+, or LLMP

We were also there in October 2021. Same experience.

And that was with limited park capacity.

Makes 2 of us. Would love to finally actually put to rest the illusion long lines will miraculously disappear if you eliminate all of these paid services
