It's great you got in early! And it sounds like you got some good attractions in. As for the trip report you could try posting in the trip reports thread there have been DL and some cruise reports in there. If it is in the wrong place the mods will move it.
I was expecting to get to the park at 11am at the earliest, but we really got almost a full day today.

We're back at DL tomorrow, and I'm debating what to rope drop/LL. I was thinking of maybe rope dropping Peter Pan, then doing the Gadget Coaster and maybe Runaway Railway. Then doing a LL for Indiana Jones. After using that LL, trying to start stacking LLs in the afternoon for DCA. We have the dessert party tomorrow night.

We're back at the hotel now. We ate at the Plaza Inn for dinner when we went back, then rode Pinocchio (which I didn't hate, @ajrwdwgirl), used our LL on Big Thunder, then I bought my first piece of merch from Disneyland! After that we used a LL on Autopia, then grabbed a spot for Paint the Night. All I cam say is WOW. That was such a good parade. Definitely my highlight of the day.

Tomorrow is back to DL in the morning, with a lunch at Carnation Cafe. Then DCA in the afternoon/evening, with a dessert party for World of Color.

For now, it's bedtime. I'm exhausted. I've been up since 2am PT. I'm surprised how well I'm doing for such a long day. I did not expect to get this much done on day 1!

Sounds like a good day! Paint the Night is definitely the best parade.

I'd rope drop Indy. Towards closing, Peter Pan and Runaway Railway tend to drop down low. That's also when I tend to hit Alice. This chick ain't up early...even on west coast time.

I've waited like ten minutes for MMRR at about 10 pm. You just have to time it because Toontown closes during fireworks and then reopens later.

Also, if you want to do Rise one night, go over there at like 9:45 pm. It closes at 10 pm regardless of park closing and you'll get right on.

We ended u0 rope dropping Peter Pan. We got right to the front at rope drop, because I'm used to a Disney World rope drop where if you're there 1 hour early, you're still late. We waited about 15 minutes. I will say... crowd control at WDW is leaps and bounds better than what I saw today. Everyone was running. CMs did nothing to stop it. People were cutting in lines. A woman even left her 3ish year old daughter with a stranger so she could park her stroller and not lose her spot in line. It was insane.

We then walked on Runaway Railway, then road the Gadget Coaster. Afterwards we used our first LL for Indy. We then got a breakfast/snack at Maurice's and got the cheesy garlic pretzel bread. Yum!

Then we rode Alice and the Submarine. We then took the double decker bus down Maon Street and did a loop on the train. That's so much better than WDW! We then did some shopping and climbed the treehouse before eating lunch at Carnation Cafe.

I'll go into more detail when I do my TR, but that's the quick summary.

We're back at the hotel now until 4, when we'll head over to DCA for our first ever visit. We have LLs lined up for Webslinger, Incredicoaster, and Soarin. We're going to buy one for RSR, too, and hopefully get one more in there before our dessert party.

I’ve been putting this off for a bit, but, since it’s been a while, I need to update.
Youngest bro will not be around on this earth much longer.
All cancer treatments have been stopped, based on prognosis.
He’s at home (where he will pass), weak and in some pain, but as comfortable as possible.
Myself and youngest bro spent a lot of time with him on Sunday watching some March Madness, some golf and shooting the breeze.
We chatted about so many things and, of course, reminisced.
Our folks are fully aware, and we joked about that at one point, as Mom is 86 and Pop is 93…”Don’t live so damn long if ya’ don’t wanna’ have one of your kids die before you…!!!!!” :hilarious:
Sorry for that, but it’s just the way we tend to deal with things of this nature.
He will be cremated and his wife will keep his ashes.
After she passes, she will be cremated as well, and their grown son and daughter have been instructed to scatter their ashes together in the ocean off Maui.
Sorry if this brought the thread down, but, as my bro would love, my next post will be a bit silly…

So sorry to hear he's near the end of his journey. At least you got to spend a little happy time with him, while watching sports on TV, and chatting about this and that. Of all the things that are most important to those who are in fading physical shape, it's the company of those who love him.

Sounds like a good morning, especially with that garlic cheese bread. The rope drop can be a little crazy in the morning, people are crazy for Peter Pan at DL and MK! I hope you enjoy World of Color and the dessert party, remember the desserts aren't exceptional but the seat is great for the show. Also let me know if you are able to still order two alcoholic beverages at the party or if it is just one now.

So sorry @donaldtoo . I hope your brother can spend the rest of his time in comfort.

Thank you.
This is a tough one, as he was always in such good health. Never was a regular smoker, didn’t work in any dangerous chemical environments, etc., and he’s only 61 years old.
The way I lived my life in earlier years, I thought for sure I’d be the first to go.
It’s all a crap shoot, I guess.
Anyway, thanks again for your kind words.

Thanks, Minnie.
The fact of it is that he’s actually still in decent spirits, even though his fate is sealed. I don’t know if I could be like that.
They’ve had a good life, and their kids are well on their way, so I know that helps a bit, but damn…way too friggin’ soon.
