It is also incredibly doable to block that sound out. I lived by an interstate for years and the county did a wonderful job making sure we never heard it, even outside in our yard. If little old Knoxville can do it, Disney can do it.

Test Track is the sole outdoor ride in the area and it’s quite loud. If another outdoor ride or a themed queue was in close proximity it would be an issue.

These silly comparisons to completely different situations are unnecessary anyway since Inc already offered a convincing rebuttal to my concern. I was thinking too much of the Autopia - if the ride vehicles are largely silent, we only need to worry about the massive visual and spatial intrusion.

Whether or not someone finds it annoying is a separate question from whether or not it can be heard.

I was thinking too much of the Autopia - if the ride vehicles are largely silent, we only need to worry about the massive visual and spatial intrusion.

It’s not just a question of the ride vehicle. How fast they move and the type of track also influenced how much noise is created. The B&M roar is caused by ride vehicles that are perfectly silent when sitting still.

With all the tables and chairs in the failed celebrations gardens area it sure feels like a library.

Oh yeah - in radiator springs you’re definitely supposed to hear it. I’m not sure if it’s all on board audio or there are actually speakers adding to the sound out there because it’s very convincing.

Definitely wouldn’t have avatar land! We’d probably have a Star Wars land that was more fun too.

Car land was already being developed non-ip, so we’d have that with 1 cars ride probably?

I don't think IP lands are bad in all cases however they should not be by default especially where the premise is not even plausible as with Toy Story Land.
