DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

Being quick is an odd excuse. You’d excuse it if it was a basic paint job (ie one or two colors, or if it was a messy paint job). Yall are arguing that it’s just ugly, which is a matter of opinion. This was obviously not a 1-2 night paint job, and is probably still ongoing

RnRc was always a bit of a clash with the area so they had to drum up a backstory about G Force records seeing a spike in business from the intrigue surrounding the Hollywood Tower Hotel.

But that’s the same method as putting a carnival in DAK and then saying it’s there because of backstory and not because it was easy and cheap to do at the time.

All that said, RnRc was like a baby step in mismatched theming, the Muppets changes are only incrementally more as long as they show restraint, which they most likely are either by choice or the constraints of the budget and/or timeframe for this project.
I actually thought the AK carnival/research fellows backstory was pretty good even if it was considered temporary.

RNRC on the other hand always just felt like a major stretch. I really don’t believe the color of the limo is a problem. It never felt like the whole building was built to look like a record company from an earlier age with a G Force overlay. And that’s before you get to upside down tracks and limo and a giant guitar. It feels like an aesthetic you would get at a six flags, even though the ride execution and inside features are Disney level.

Yes
I cannot be the only one who does not like this transformation.

I'll hold my judgment until its complete. Remember that Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem came out first in 1975 so we (the ones alive at that time) were collectively still stuck in the trappings of the '60's counter culture in all of its disorganized pastel majesty and incomprehensible love of polyester.

Not really. The thing with roadside dinosaur attractions is they don't usually have carnival rides, it's just the tacky concrete statues in an outdoor woodsy setting. Some parks would let you drive through or had a tram tour, but no, you aren't going to get a weirdly bespoke triceratops-flavored version of Dumbo at them. They should have just done "Dinosaur flavored pastiche of the Jungle Cruise leaning harder into how fake and crappy it looks" for the roadside dinosaur attraction that maybe throws some living dinosaurs that the Time Rovers accidentally brought with them into the mix.

I'll still wait for the final product, but it's looking a lot better to me. The other part I need to see is how the look of the limo fits with the rest of the ride. Based on my own imagination, it's going to fit really well, but not sure if I'm over-hyping the changes that I see happening.
