I love Bluey, but this is embarrassing. The people at the show without children should be ashamed. There are so few children centric places left in this world, can we at least let them have the preschool stage show at Disneyland without it being invaded by emotionally stunted millennials?

lol yeah I saw another video I believe in addition to this one where there where there were considerably more adults than kids in the audience. Kind of ridiculous. Pick a lane- I thought you guys wanted the bars.
Ironically, a childless vlogger is tweeting that. Rage bait is the game, and it clearly works on some people.
when walt disney said "to all who come to this happy place: welcome", he should have specified all but childless millennials

Not for nothing but it's interesting to note that it says "parents" not "adults." Though I'm partial to this quote more: "You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway"
Tell me you haven't watched Bluey without telling me you haven't watched Bluey. It's as much for kids as Toy Story 3 is.Bluey is actually geared toward children.
Deleted it from my initial post for a reason.Tell me you haven't watched Bluey without telling me you haven't watched Bluey. It's as much for kids as Toy Story 3 is.

Sure it's on Disney Junior, but every episode is like a chapter from a "How to Parent" manual, and some even are "How Adults Can Heal from Past Trauma" therapy sessions. All in disguise as a kids show.

i should have made my sarcasm clearer, but walt also said:
Oh I see - bad timing on my part, I beg your pardon.Deleted it from my initial post for a reason.![]()
More adults at Bluey than children? Possibly due to:
1. A pair of adults, say parents, bringing a single child
2. Three adults (say, mom, dad, grandma) with two children...
What's more common in a family party at Disneyland, for young children to outnumber the adults they are with, or vice versa? I'm unsure and asking. But even if it's slightly more common for young children to outnumber adults, by so wide a margin it would be obvious looking across a crowd were the adults are four times bigger than the children?
There is a great distinction between "childlike" and "childish."i should have made my sarcasm clearer, but walt also said:
“Why do we have to grow up? I know more adults who have the children’s approach to life. They’re people who don’t give a hang what the Joneses do. You see them at Disneyland every time you go there. They are not afraid to be delighted with simple pleasures, and they have a degree of contentment with what life has brought—sometimes it isn’t much, either.”
i'd venture a guess that he was referring to the exact kind of "emotionally stunted millennials" you're deriding![]()
There is a great distinction between "childlike" and "childish."
A man who has no issue picking up a stick to pretend it is a sword is childlike as he has maintained his childhood sense of wonder and imagination. On the every day he is upright and capable of being a responsible leader, and he has certainly grown up to become a full human being, but he has not abandoned that which makes childhood special. Such a man values what is good no matter how simple. Men like Walt Disney, C.S. Lewis, and G.K. Chesterton fall into this category.
A childish man, conversely, is one who has not grown up at all. He is one who cannot take on real responsibility without grumbling because he lacks any sense of honor or duty. Instead, he would rather engage in brain numbing activities to receive pleasure and instant gratification. Hard work, especially mental work, is a chore he seeks to avoid it at all cost. Such minds revel in excess alcohol, profanity, ography, and other base entertainment. There is no room for the adult life in such an individual because he is, for all intents and purposes, still mentally a child who lacks any virtue.
Both the childlike man and the childish man are capable of enjoying Disneyland but for entirely different reasons. The former will see Disneyland as a piece of art, enjoying its gardens, its music, its architecture, its ambience, and so forth, as well as the cowboy, the knight, and the spaceman. The latter, with his simple mind, will be excited over whatever sights he finds familiar, offering no deeper thought beyond that. He likes the cowboy, the knight, and the spaceman because they are fun, not because he loves the frontier, chivalry, or American innovation.
There is no shame in liking that which is for children. As I have already stated plainly throughout this thread, Bluey is an excellent show and I love it myself. However, my enjoyment of Bluey is rooted in the deeper themes present, the realistic portrayal of parenthood and family life, and the artistry behind the show, particularly its use of classical music. What of those elements are at the Disneyland show? I suppose there is the live band, which admittedly is appealing, but I do not expect this show to be dealing with any of the serious themes surrounding raising children, but instead focusing on being silly fun for children to enjoy.
This leaves me wondering, what is the appeal to adults for this show? Are they just enjoying some silly fun for a moment? In that, there is nothing wrong, although I do not think a multi hour wait seems justified but perhaps that's just me. However, what I expect is more likely, is mentally stunted adults who love Bluey because it is simple and comfortable recognize the IP and want to see it at Disneyland because it is simple and comfortable. There is no deeper thought beyond their decision making other than "Bluey makes me happy" and therefore they go see the show.
I admit I could be wrong about the show and those in attendance (I have no interest to watch a 40 minute dance party), but I highly doubt this Bluey show is another like the actual Bluey show with any substance for adults to enjoy. It is a show for children who love Bluey, and that's perfectly ok. Little children need their own spaces, too, and too many people forget that, especially those who do not have or do not often interact with kids.
Yeah, we’re clearly furious about this. You guys are shocked that the first few days of a new thing have a disproportionate number of Disney bloggers and/or locals/passholders in attendance?
Some of y'all just have nothing better to do than look for reasons to be mad, as usual.
As long as it gives people another place to go in the park and likely makes your wait in line a bit shorter, who really cares?
