Even at 200 rooms the economics just don’t make much sense for a Disney resort. It would need a few times that many to be viable.Well that is the issue with this land overall - ‘static display’ describes a lot of the land. Anything they can do to create movement and interest would be great. I know - that is unlikely in this case - I was just reacting to ‘static display’. But - let’s get droids doing there thing, more costumed actors, and drones overhead that can represent ships coming and going from the spaceport in the distance.
One other thing- they already spent the money on Starcruiser - why not repurpose it as an actual hotel that is connected to that world. Forget the cosplay - just have it be a hotel. It doesn’t even need to be a ship - just a hotel on Bantu. Add more rooms get the total into the 200 range. Add a pool. Make sure there is a view protected corridor to get you in the land. Decorate the exterior better.
Right now they are using it as office space for heavens sake! Set the price to low deluxe - heck might even be a draw as a DVC. This isn’t rocket science! Hmmm on second thought maybe it is!![]()
It's not well-positioned to be added to the land, nor is it at all oriented to protect views. If they wanted a more traditional Star Wars hotel attached to Batuu, they'd be better off starting from scratch. One other thing- they already spent the money on Starcruiser - why not repurpose it as an actual hotel that is connected to that world. Perhaps - I am not in that business. I am ok with whatever number they need. It would cost more of course - requiring more research to support. I think the DVC idea is interesting though and a really different kind of offering.Even at 200 rooms the economics just don’t make much sense for a Disney resort. I don’t disagree that it’s not the best angle relative to hiding the backside or having views into the park. It's not well-positioned to be added to the land, nor is it at all oriented to protect views.
