Hi all. I don't have time to catch up, but just wanted to check in. My father-in-law is on his way out. We're just waiting for the call that he's gone. My husband and his brother are there with him. He never really got better after his pneumonia in January when my MIL passed and we never really expected him to make it long after she died, but I don't think any of us were expecting it to be quite this soon. Anyway.... I'm still here, just dealing with life and haven't really had much time to come here. I'm sorry I can't catch up properly. Hope everyone is doing well.
Sorry to hear that. It had to be that flu; it was something else this year. 😥

Both my times at Logan (Boston) has been the same. I remember Dulles (DC) being the same too. Not sure about Reagan (DC). In and out of TSA. Orlando, however is a different story.
Orlando, always has been a challenge. That said, however, it is still one of my favorite airports. It's the theming if nothing else.

I hates Logan and Chicago. I've only been to LAX once but that was over 50 years ago, so I do not know what it is like now, but, it was barely passable back then. It is the only location in all my years and all the flights I have taken since then that has lost my luggage. The panic about it was that it was my duffel bag that contained all my earthly possessions and I was in route to Vietnam at the time. Luckily, I had an overnight layover for a flight to SFO so they got it to me first thing in the morning. It must have been a pretty stressful trip because I am having a hard time remembering the details. I know that I ended up the next day on a base in Oakland for a week long M-16/M-60 training before departure. I also remember that the week long turned out to be one day. We had the choice of waiting on the base for our trip to S. Vietnam or we were free to go to San Francisco.

I opted for San Francisco were I managed to spend my way into eating candy bars at the USO for meals, watching the NY Mets win their first World Series on a 12"B&W TV in my hotel room and taking a cab back to the base for departure at the end of the week. I arrived in Vietnam with a total of 12 cents in my pocket and two weeks to go before payday. I did a lot of begging. Good times!

Logan was probably the worst TSA experience I ever had.

Dulles is fine if you have precheck. It once took me 45 to get through there. There is a special place in hell for that airport overall, but staff is super nice, even TSA.

Reagan is the least busy airport in the region; it's an American Airlines hub and super close to that army training ground. We don't use it for that reason, even before the most recent accident. Plus...American...

BWI and Honolulu are the two best TSA experiences I've had. BWI is usually quick and the officers are always nice. Honolulu, well, the aloha spirit extends to TSA. They're easily the nicest.

Cannot even begin to go into why I hate Logan.

I take red eyes out of there, which isn't as bad. I dislike coming in there because the Uber pickup is separate from the airport. Uber can drop you off right out front, but you have to get on a bus for pickup.

The worst part about it is honestly the traffic around the airport. There's a pretty good hike in. But not as bad as Dulles.

Houston is another one I could live without going through again. That was a hike through that airport. I prefer Denver as a layover.

No apologies needed, whatsoever.
My sincerest condolences.
I hope that he is not in any pain and passes/has passed peacefully.

We landed about 30 minutes earlier than it originally. We got a Lyft to our hotel, and our driver talked politics the whole time. 🙃

We got to the hotel, but our room wasn't ready, because it was about 9:30am. So we left our bags at the hotel and walked over to Disneyland. We were in the gates at 9:50. It all went so smoothly.

I'll post more at some point, but we got so much done already. We did Pirates, Haunted, Mr. Toad, Snow White, Storybook Canals, Mr. Lincoln, Small World, Space, and Matterhorn.

We're back at the hotel now, resting. We are going to head back over in a little over an hour for dinner and some more Lightning Lanes.

It's great you got in early! And it sounds like you got some good attractions in. As for the trip report you could try posting in the trip reports thread there have been DL and some cruise reports in there. If it is in the wrong place the mods will move it.
