I think it looks great but I can’t wait to hear the miserabs’ chime in and tell me why I’m wrong.

Ya know, it's possible to have an opinion without needing to be dismissive to opposing views that haven't even been presented. Hope this helps?

Like, you are literally a 46 year old grown adult. Is this how you interact with people in your day-to-day life?

Maybe you could explain why you think it’s good instead of trying to undermine any opposing viewpoints before they’re offered.

I hope that when someone preemptively argues against so-called pixie dusters , like when they say "oh I can't wait to hear what the dusters are going to say about this," you will remind them how juvenile and dismissive that can be.

“This theoretical thing justifies this actual thing,” is a deeply disingenuous rhetorical trick that is far too ubiquitous in America today.

Seems fine to me.
As someone who has studied John Hench, Herb Ryman, etc. - I think I like this more than the original blue.

I also think it was intentional to keep the front of the car one solid color - so it would blend better with any views from sunset - with the crazy colors not being visible until you were closer to entering the courtyard and could see the guitar etc.

So this, in my opinion, is an example of great, thoughtful theme park design. The kind I expect and appreciate when visiting Disney parks.

It's fair, but tell me how it doesn't look good?

Getting so personal from a guy who's name fancied a parking lot themed area.

But I'll bite. It's very on brand for the Muppets, I enjoy the psychedelic look (and the guitar art work) and think they nailed the different layers and coloring.

I never stared super hard at the previous design but now it's more something exciting to look at.

Maybe off-topic here but definitely not theoretical.

Maybe you have those people on ignore.
A cursory glance shows that the vast majority of uses of the term “pixie duster” comes from posters using it self-deprecatingly to describe themselves or less critical posters trying to claim victimhood, often as they attack those they disagree with for being too critical.

That’s just not true. You either have a good number of people on ignore or (more likely) their insulting posts were deleted.

I ran a search and looked through the first six pages or so. If you have specific examples you’d care to highlight, I’d certainly take a look. Frankly, I’ve seen the “All the mean stuff on one side was deleted,” argument before and, having been in my fair share of deleted arguments, I find it unconvincing. I see no evidence whatsoever that the phrase is remotely as common as certain posters want it to be.

It’s not unconvincing. Posts that are polite or self-deprecating remain and those that are rude and insulting are deleted.

I’ve seen a ton of this first-hand so I know it’s true.

Let’s just say we must not look at the same threads.

Yes
So the discussion has devolved into warring camps over color palettes ? Can we make a simple alignment based on the colors of the muppet characters in Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem band and bus ?

I mean I was just personally called a shill again today so pixie duster/shill is still being used against certain people as well :shrugging:

Personally I think tensions are just boiling over more and more and I think both sides really should cool it or else this forum is going to turn into needless bickering back and forth about whos a "real Disney fan" or "a shill" or "Six Flags enjoyer" or "ride whatever" instead of actually about this quite incredible experience that we can all have.

I wont' lie, sure call people out when they're really going far but like at the end of the day, some of these changes are making people happy, why demonize them because they don't like what you like?

On the other side of the coin, some people are upset with these changes and I think it's also unfair to demonize them as well.

All true opinions should have a place to exist as long as they don't disrupt others. Can you get called out for an obviously wrong statement or being way onto one end of the scale? Sure, but I think a little more kindess from everyone would go a long way.
