Rumor Could we see an Alien attraction come to the parks?

This could work as long as they keep it family-friendly.
If an attraction ever gets even slightly close to the scare level of Alien Encounter, it would suffer the same fate, and soon be removed to the demands of angry parents.

But a family-friendly Alien ride or show could work. Something along the lines of a musical review such as CBJ, only with singing Xenomorphs instead. Or replace all the birds in the Tiki room with singing, jolly Facehuggers as a seasonal overlay.

Keep it lively and upbeat, so fans of this IP can have an attraction to enjoy, while not angering mobs of parents with terrified children.

Never will we see a real Alien attraction that would be at all what we would like to see. After Eisner removed EAE Dis would never try anything even remotely similar. A cartoonish, non threatening, likable, clownish alien that would draw no confrontation. Sadly those of us who miss Alien Encounter can go elsewhere for that level of fun.

It worked out so well last time. (sarcasm) Pity they closed the Great Movie Ride before they could realize that they would end up owning the rights to Alien within three years.

Ya that went over well......
It wasn’t Alien-themed which is what they wanted originally.

Alien is also a huge franchise. I think it would work better at DL tbh, but Disney Parks have grown into something beyond just families with small kids. Adult couples will go, teen friend groups, families with teens, etc.

I think what’s more important is continuing to (unlike Universal) offer experiences like the new Coco ride that don’t have any height restrictions so infants and the elderly can easily do it.

No issue with having a diversity of park offerings, I mean Fortnite is going to be Disney’s online footprint when combined with Disney+ and you have everything from South Park to Kill Bill, Kim Kardashian, Alien, and Normal People as part of Disney’s brand now. Bluey too.

All ages means able to be enjoyed by all, but you can still have a 21+ lounge, and I think particularly at HWS it would make sense to provide more a more Halloween Horror Nights experience with (non-gore) scare mazes and houses like Hong Kong has had, and DLP’s fog and walkaround characters. Could give a unique mode to the Tower of Terror during it. Cross-promote it on the new Disney+ super app and Fortnite metaverse.

It could working 2026 is all I’m saying.

The fundamentals are just different, and it’s okay to have attractions geared for little kids (Bluey), all age rides (Coco), and scary rides (Alien or a thrilling coaster like VelociCoaster/Stardust).

I think Disney would be wise to continue branching into all audiences.

Buying FOX was only to expand their streaming options to subscribers....
Dis will Never use a Fox IP in any of their parks..... especially in North America.

Just not going to happen folks. Sorry....
