What is the new way of registering then? That’s how I’ve always done it and this is the first time I’ve struck out.Didn't think about that.

Yes, but what is the trick when with the new system. If there even is one?You just went into a queue. Now if you start the process before 10 AM, you go into a waiting room, then are moved into the queue once registration opens, from what people are saying. This new system started with registration due the 2026 W&D.

Like everything Disney, it has become an endeavor in separating the suckered, er, guest, from every last penny. Disney races used to be about putting on a quality event for a fair price. Somewhere along the way, someone who has probably never run a race, "reimagined" it as a revenue stream.Registration season has been a let down for sure, and this is from a rundisney loyalist who began in 2006 with the Disney Endurance Series. Looking back and comparing, everything has gotten so much worse for such a higher price tag, with less offering. Maybe those are my thoughts because I am disappointed, but on paper it sure is true.
After my disappointing experience with last months Princess Race Weekend, I share yours and what @CAV said. My frustration with certain things has been mounting, nothing to keep me away but I'm happy to take a break after W&D. I've decided not to renew my Platinum club membership, I don't need the bump in corral (actually I've never received it as I've always been in B or A with POT) and I don't shop early. Each race weekend feels like less quality of a running race for what they're charging (medals, running tees, etc.).Registration season has been a let down for sure, and this is from a rundisney loyalist who began in 2006 with the Disney Endurance Series. Not that you shouldn't or anything but Gold and Platinum rarely open to the general public. The last couple years only Silver has which has no registration benefit. Silver does get first dibs at registering for gold or platinum tho.I feel like if I have another year or two with lots of rD races, I'll have to join Club runDisney.
They'd probably run things very different. Much like how Paris races were not run by runDisney.I very much want OLC to do races at Tokyo Disney Resort, but I shudder to think the hoops we’d have to jump through to register.
I think we are in another running boom coupled with a a phase of people showing off on socials. People need to do all these things to put on their instagram or TikTok to show off. I am sure the new found advertising runDisney is doing too with GMA and whatever else is not helping either. Since 2023, Marathon Weekend has completely sold out within 2 hours or less. The only change they made to the system that I can tell is they are no longer exposing the uuid they use to identify each browser session uniquely. This allowed us to pass sessions to others in the past if we got registered and our second best number was better than what someone else had.
There are ways that you can enter at/after 10 that might somehow get you in faster or immediately, but I believe those are going to be exceptions you can't count on. That being said, I'm incredibly surprised these races continue to be so hard to get into. I remember the marathon being open for months... and my first of these races was 2018.

Perusing socials, it sound like they were problems with payment processing too.
Club run Disney is just another fleece the guest's scam. Investment to return ratio is terrible. General public registration is just fine. Really want to do the event? Get online at opening, stick with it and get it done. I am surprised the races don't fill up faster as in the past.If available when Silver renewal opens up. Frankly, for the price paid, all levels should be allowed early registration....maybe not the entire week fur Silver, just the last day.
Nearly $300 is a lot to pay for a jacket, a magnet, a member card (which gets you zip) and a medal. Oh, and the logo on your race bib so tiny it's hard to see.
