MK Piston Peak and Villains Land Construction Thread

Piston Peak and New Fantasyland shared large borders with non-guest areas. Communicore is a great example of both a construction project surrounded on all sides by guest areas (I knew I was missing at least one) and of how disruptive such a project can be.
The railroad and path to Storybook Circus would be closed off and access would happen from north of Tron?

I don't think it is? The patent shows something like a large showbuilding, something that the Cars ride coming to Piston Peak isn't going to really do besides the welcome center queue. Sure it's possible that the showbuilding is just for patent reasons and could definitely be for the Cars attraction, but it doesn't really match the area of RoA it's supposed to go into.

That’s the layout for Snow White’s Enchanted Wish at Disneyland.

If both patents are used for the two rides in Piston Peak, that will be a good thing. For the smaller ride, if there is that degree of mobility it helps separate it a bit from a straight up spinner. For the larger E-ticket, it would appear that options for ride path and experience can help generate re-ridability. I really appreciate that, even with a ride like Cosmic Rewind (and now Muppets) where song selection can change. I really like what I am seeing with this revamp of this section of the park. I know that is not a highly shared opinion on this site but it is my honest take.

There’s different views - I don’t agree with losing the entire river / island, and I don’t agree that modern cars fit “Frontierland” in a castle park.

But I’m extremely curious to see what we actually get.

Im hoping the “control and steer” patent is not part of the “thrill” ride cause then it will be like the falcon. I’m sure it’s a really great feeling to be the pilot of the falcon. I wouldn’t know. For all the times I’ve ridden I always get engineer. Would be nice if they did a lottery so I at least had a chance.

Look at this cool patent.

Talks about the speedway for 2 pages.
Never staying on topic and constantly moving goal posts.

That’s several threads in a nutshell.

To be honest this latest patent seems more ambitious than the previous one. However we really don’t what WDI landed on as we only have seen snippets of a potential ride system.

Was there yesterday as well. The worksite has what appears to be a decent plateau in the middle where those storage containers are. Still very very early to tell anything but seems like it’s being set up for some elevation changes. Here’s some terrible pictures while I was waiting for the family on TBA 🤣 if you squint hard, you can see the footers are setting with the vertical rebar sticking up.

Seeing as this element is the defacto "thrill" of Speedway. Do we think its days are numbered?
if this concept is for the possible 2nd family attraction where kids can drive? Maybe.

If this is for the 1st attraction which is expected to be thrilling? No, it shouldn’t have anything to do with the speedway since that is a different target audience.

I am not sure if Bioreconstruct has an account on these forums, but in case they do, or in case anyone else knows I'm going to ask here: Is there a reason (maybe legal?) why the last two times they have gotten helicopter photos of all the constructions throughout Disney and Universal that MK has been skipped? I'm not trying to sound like I am complaining, I appreciate all the time they take to get these amazing photos, I was just wondering?

The FAA has a No Fly Zone centered around the Magic Kingdom. It’s not absolutely restricted but entry requires more planning and prior permission. The various helicopter tours offered in the area all skip the Magic Kingdom due to this restriction.
