I think the ride itself is a solid 8/10 (points deducted only for length or ride). Music is 10/10! ride vehicles 10/10

Exterior Queue is 2/10 and doesn't set up for the typical level of Disney Immersion like Rise. Corridor to reveal room is shockingly embarrassing and looks like 6 flags.
Interior Queue is 5/10, not at the Disney level and very generic, only saving grace is the Electrochromic Glass reveal.

In my opinion, and I know this presents some challenges given its Tomorrowland location; but the section under the canopy where you share the queue with LL should have been themed to right outside Flynn's Arcade from the movie (aka the street scene). The entrance to the reveal corridor should have been a Tron arcade console that you walk behind, again just like in the movie. It could have swung open from the wall to let people in and close right behind them (like the current door does). This would have set up the story of immersion into the world of Tron much better than the current we built a roller coaster vibe.

Beyond that, some extra detail in the interior queue (LED screen/windows into a light cycle arena and disc wars arena) would have set the dynamic motion that brings a level of energy/anticipation to the wait. Load area should have worked in a life-size recognizer vehicle (the flying n looking thing that picks up Sam in Legacy when he gets to the grid) just for a level of additional detail and immersion.

I think these tweaks would have made for the ride length.

The autotune sounding dialogue in the queue televisions annoyed my 16 year old; since he mentioned it, I can’t ignore it.

It was better in Shanghai since we couldn’t understand what they were saying

Separate from this - I wish the handlebars didn’t have to be pulled back. To me it’s an awkward arm position

Sadly the interior queue and even the station aren’t as good as Shanghai.

Same with the railing outside as well.

I suppose with the addition of lockers in the queue itself, they also didn't have a budget to theme it slightly better either. Space's queue is significantly better.

At least they kept the epic reveal and didn't make a pre-show that lasts forever.

Should also go through Flynn's Arcade...

Amazing would be twice as long. It’s just too short to be amazing.

It also takes too long to load bc people are immobile.
Just this.

One can argue the exposed track design, cheap construction choices or anything else, but ultimately all of that could be overlooked and this would be a swell ride if only it were longer.

The ride's climax is where a second launch ought to be. I'm just getting into it at that point. 7 Dwarf, Tron, and Oaken all suffer from simply being bafflingly short.

The issue is people don't seem to include the outside track with the indoor portion.

It's RNRC length.

Which is not long, but also not exactly too short.

TRON is not on Hagrid's level, but it doesn't have to be.

7DMT is even better looking than Tron and still falls dramatically short of E ticket Disney. Tron isn't even pretty to look at besides some blinking lights.

TRON is way better than Mine Train…

TRON is an E, just not a headliner like the exterior suggests.

SDMT is a D, but it’s so well executed it’s like an E in some sense.

For me, Tron isn't really better.

7DMT has better theming, better show building, and better queue.

Neither are E-tickets because both are too short. They may be the new Disney "E-ticket" but not by historical standards.

They could have done so much more than a copy/paste from China for the most visited theme park in the world.

That's Bob for you...

Tron in Shanghai is embedded in a really great take on a modern Tomorrowland. It makes more sense there, feels more organic, communicates better with its environment.

Tron in the MK is not that park's biggest issue by any means, but it does sit uneasily next to Space, which it is designed to replace rather than complement, and doesn't really reinforce Tomorrowland's story or environment.

Fair point.

RnRC feat. Olivia Rodriguez feels a more complete experience to me. It's very front heavy, intense at the start, then peters out a towards the end, so the ride feels complete. Like listening to an Olivia Rodriguez song, it doesn’t leave me wanting more.

Tron however feels like it's building up towards something, anything, to a big indoor section with screens. Its climax feels like a build-up to something, not an end. My first ride I was surprised it ended where it does.

Maybe just a personal way of experiencing them.

The frustrating bit is that 7DMT, Tron and Oaken are really good rides. What's there is solid, each genuinely good rides. But so agonisingly short. If you make all the effort - design, building it, queue, show scenes, ride vehicles, then what difference would it have made to add one minute extra ride time?

Thunder and Space take their time. Grizzly in HK takes its time, and its awesome, such a joyful experience.

Dwarf was cut down in pre-production, it could have been Splash Mountain level, an all-time classic, with just one or two more indoor scenes and some extra ride time.

Oaken is superb, but then stops right when you're getting into it, I couldn't believe it when I rode it. Puzzling and frustrating.

I genuinely don't understand the rationale. Even if the ride elements were exactly the same and you did twice as much looping around foliage, it's still a lot better. The incremental cost is relatively small and the enjoyment factor increases quite a bit.

Imagine a world where they’re charging you $25 a head for those 1 minute rides…

It works so well in Shanghai. Much better.

But it is still awesome here. Reminds me of EPCOT pavilions…

I would’ve LOVED that.

I would’ve hated Taylor Swift by comparison to such a degree I’d probably skip the ride just because her music is just so unappealing to me, despite the people online wanting that haha.

Well if they put a launch at the end and then had it go through another third (sort of like Guardians lift hill), I guarantee you people would be talking about it like it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Otherwise, it’s like RNRC but better themed in a way.

People are sleeping on the function of the motorcycle seating itself. It makes the ride.
