If the blue on the turrets will be anything like it was in 2020, those who get to see the castle in the sunshine in the morning hours (until the colors start noticeably fading)... the color really pops in person. Cameras don't properly capture it, you have to see it in person.

I don't think they need to do the blocks, it looks good as is.
It enhances the perspective in a good way

Well they certainly plan to or the moat wouldn’t be drained. It is expensive to paint the castle. They don't want to be back here any time soon. So they'll paint the whole thing.

Uh, not that I’m saying they won’t do the stonework, but wouldn’t they have to drain the moat regardless to move the lifts into place when painting the sides and front?

They should all be the same color of blue, I would think?

And the blue looks great, even from pictures (which from my experience, don't do the colors justice).

I think that's just in-progress work. They've been skipping sections while waiting for areas of what I assume is some sort of patching compound to dry. That said, I'd love variegation, but I assume we'd already see evidence of it elsewhere if it was happening.
