MK New Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Updates Coming to Walt Disney World

The Queue could have been so much cuter if it were more than a lot of graphics and more physical props...and since we are joining the mission, the props could be less toy, but things that actually work... Lighted controls and buttons etc...

Props like nicknacks Disney has come to lean on in queues as 'details' are a cop out IMO. Give us some STAGING and ENVIRONMENT to set the mood and locale. Unfortunately the Buzz space is so tight, there was no space for anything except in the final room. Make us feel like we are in star command!

Epcot had an investment round. Whether we LIKE what they invested in or not is another thing, but they did spend a lot of money. It should be next up though since the other 3 parks have construction going on.
Ironically, when I was aspiring to work for WDI my plans for EPCOT and DHS would have likely saved them boatloads of money and my math skills are notoriously bad.

"We are kind of reassessing our queue," Alison said. "It's going to feel refreshed as well."

Is the queue going to FEEL refreshed, or will it BE refreshed?
Depends on what you FEEL. As I have said before I feel that with the existence of TSM, BLSRS is redundant but as of right now I am fine with it still going for a few years because I know that this management team would probably replace it with something either awful or out of theme or both.

My guess is nothing crazy, no new interactive elements, anything like that. Maybe some screens where there weren't any before and a fresh coat of paint.
I just wish they would remove the theme spoiling interactive remnants that the god-awful NextGen initiative of the early 2010s cursed us with, Haunted Mansion being the most obvious offender.

Indeed, remember this space was built to serve as essentially a ride-through airline commercial.

Totally agree.

Under no circumstances would Buzz be there if I was in charge.

Would be different if there was like a Lincoln Log flume Toy Story ride or a Woody’s Round-Up dark ride.

It’s literally a worse shooter. The theme could be anything.

for what it was, and considering it was a free attraction in an era of ticketed attractions, If You Had Wings was pure magic to a kid!! I loved that ride!!
I think it would make for an awesome new disney restaurant. Do you like wings? A restaurant meant for showing of chicken recipes from around the world. Anything from korean bbq to buffalo chicken. Why settle for just spicy wings with cheap hot sauce when you can have wings from around the world.

I hope the soundtrack is untouched but I think at least some of it is going to be redone or replaced. My guess is they'll go for something more orchestral and cinematic and less cheesy.
I wouldn't be surprised if they switched to the Disneyland version's music (which is similar but perhaps has a more "cinematic" feel), as it looks like they brought a lot of the other updates from there.

I do really like the military drum cadence in the MK version's queue, though, and I'd hate to lose that.

And just in general, I think using the song "Strange Things" as the basis of the ride music was brilliant...

I wonder if they'll reuse that music as well. I don't think they will though. My guess is they will either leave the music as is or do something with the music that is more in line with the music for Planet Rescue in Shanghai.
