Totally more of a “flacid effect”


Some people have no vision…so they only harp on their personal vacation countdown…it’s rather frivolous

If you’re invested and you staunchly defend all actions as a fan…including mistakes…you’ll get more mistakes. It lowers the bar. Basic psychology and economics

Not defending anything currently as nothing is finished or complete to judge.

Always being pessimistic doesn’t really serve any purpose either as your constantly looking for things to nitpick and judge therefore never truly satisfied with anything.

Prediction: Jill will take her first official tour of Disneyland, followed by a phalanx of lieutenants and staff dutifully jotting notes and snapping punch-list photos, and when they get to the Madame Leota gift shop she will stop. And after a long pause, she will turn to her entourage and say: "What the ----ing hell is this?"

Jeff Vahle on Thomas Mazloum being selected as Chairman:

I’ve always admired Thomas Mazloum’s ability to combine operational excellence with a genuine passion for our Cast Members. We’ve worked closely together over the years – across cruise ships, resorts and as colleagues leading the U.S. Disney Parks – and I have tremendous respect for his leadership and character. I’m excited to step into the next era of Disney Experiences alongside him. Congratulations on being named Chairman, Thomas!

very happy with the changes, yeah it's not who us die hard fans woulda choose but overall all the recent changes in positions of leadership I think a very good since it's not Jeff and also darn it's brutal everyone got some type of change except Jeff. I love it. Also all of these picks not being to money focused mean josh's comments about being aggressive and bold with expansion are true.

Not to defend Jeff but are we blaming external factors on him ?

Also we have so many things under construction that will help grow attendance in the future. Mazloum hasn’t been at DL a very long time either like only a year or so.

The past several months I've watched DLR cast morale across the board go from cautious optimism to dread. I've literally never seen it this bad. Nobody is getting enough hours and seniority is being totally ignored in scheduling.

You can play down the standardization of french fries but it's symptomatic of changes resort-wide from prioritizing guest experience and valuing cast contributions to penny pinching EVERYWHERE.

This is really, really not good.
