DAK “Zootopia” is being created for the Tree of Life theater

In fact, it would almost have the exact same plot as Its Tough to be a Bug, but with all the animals instead of just bugs

But think about if they actually did it that way.

The complaints would be exactly what you said: it’s the exact same plot, but with animals instead of bugs. Where is the creativity? The sky is falling! The magic is gone! All that stuff.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.

Perhaps. So maybe it could be a blessing to replace Zootopia after seeing how bad it really COULD be. 🤷‍♂️

***I also always stand on ground that an attraction replacement can always be equal-in-quality to its replacement. Anything less than that isnt worth it.

Equal in scope, sure. That’s why things like Imagination and Horizons were always going to be an issue. But gauging reception isn’t easy, especially when pushing uphill against nostalgia.

What will it take to have Zootopia replaced by Hoppers? Josh D’Amaro might have approved it before he becomes CEO but there might be time to correct this and do a complete major retheme while keeping the Tree of Life intact.

Why not have Mabel from Hoppers connecting with the Tree of Life as a way to utilize the whole theater.

Remove the dung beetle ball. Trying to rewrite the Tree of Life’s origin to fit Zootopia is really trying to erase Joe Rohde’s idea of Animal Kingdom. If Iger mandated this, thank goodness he is stepping down.

I just watched the trailer....based on the trailer it feels almost as if the film were written to be part of the park....Aligns with the mission...Locations and idea that feels more in-sync... Not animals being humans in a huam world built by animals.... Curious now to see the whole film....

If Josh hates it, it’s possible There is precedent.

But they want Zootopia in the parks.

Generally, new or rethemed attractions aren't yanked. They stay in order to recoup their expenditure. If it's not really an excellent attraction... it's OK if it's "good enough" until the end of its life cycle -- then, it's replaced. It's probably why Imagination 3 and Nemo ride are still around.

If Zoogether is getting passable GSATs and the attraction isn't always empty... it's gonna stay a while.

For attractions that get yanked before its life cycle, it's because the mechanics are bad (Luigi's Flying Tires), or its GSAT is just awful (ExtraTerrorstrial *and* Stitch), or it's costing money (Harmonious [people not staying for dinner at EPCOT]).

Would relocation be a possibility?

Anyone know the GSATS for this compared to Awesome Planet?
