Agreed, this area needs high capacity experiences. Echo Lake is a major capacity sink, with only TSR and an attached lounge. I think they could replace all of it and gain capacity at the same time.

It’s also a show / attraction that guests clearly like - it pretty much always fills up.
Sporadically in January for a few shows before it broke again

As we are getting an Indiana Jones Adventure next year, perhaps it is time for a new stunt show.

It flipped when I was there in January. I love trying to spot the moment the Marion actress sneaks out of the trap door in the building facade.
Side note I was sitting right behind the tech booth and managed to make the entire tech team chuckle when I yelled out "bring back the ball!" after the "Are you having a good time?" moment.

I think all of the live entertainment at DHS needs an overhaul... That B&TB show is long past its expiration date....and the IJ Stunt show is too at this point... Time for something new and fresh, and spend some money on show writers...Disneyland seems to do the live entertainment thing much better....

well… if the theaters are filling up and guest satisfaction scores are good - there is no reason to replace shows. So that would, I believe, keep Indy, Beauty and the Beast, and Little Mermaid.
Frozen sing along hasn’t been filling up and to me, feels very lacking. It’s my personal favorite since it’s the only way to see Comedy Warehouse / Citizens perform actual comedy anywhere. (Exception is hoop - but that’s an extra charge).
But frozen is prime real estate that could quickly be replaced with something much better - so start there.

I've heard pretty recently it's very unlikely the boulder ever returns. If it does, I'll be surprised but the powers that be have no desire to bring it back.

You are right, but be careful what you wish for. They could simply shutter attractions and do nothing
I find my self rationalizing “It’s better than nothing”** Warning, non factual, hypothetical comment follows **
If/When Josh decides to bulldoze Indy at DHS, we my go 5 to 7 years with nothing in that spot while they move dirt around.

In my opinion - ** Warning non fact speculation to follow**
Lets say they wanted to close it to change it.
They would wait for a D23 to announce plans, with a concept rendering.
Then some time will pass.
Then walls would go up.
Then some time would pass.
Then updated concept or play map will be released.
Then some time would pass.
Then destruction would happen.
Then some time will pass,
Then construction would happen for 3 to 5 years as the scope gets cut

What you perceive as “some time passing” is land prep and construction occurring.
