From what we’ve seen of the plans, Piston Peak will look very nice. Like the idea of a national park atmosphere. Would actually be awesome to do this without IP at all.

But if going to use Cars, then use Cars. Focus on the characters from the original movie. Seems like another SW:GE type miss to highlight new or fringe characters.

pretty much exactly how I feel, especially the last sentence.

the Ranger Woodlore "carsona" wouldn't rub me the wrong way nearly as much if it didn't feel like they put it in to woo the critics of this project by saying "See, we care about these long-underused classic characters! Everything's gonna be all right!"

This is a really out there question and I realize it’s not likely for a variety of reasons….

But IF Josh didn’t like the Piston Peak / Cars idea for Frontierland is it too late to change?

Like is it just site work so far that could allow the entire project to change? Or is it too far along to do that?

That’s a huge if - but I can’t help but wonder.

Almost anything is possible. It just costs time and money.

If he genuinely thought it wasn’t good for the long term success of the park it would.

I also realize it’s a longgggggg shot to hope for a change. But just curious if any of the work done would be to the point that it would be difficult to change course.

Just looking at - it seems they are just clearly land and prepping for construction so far - but I don’t have any knowledge of how that actually works

I think they made their peace with sunsetting TSI and RoA. Trying to stick another IP seems even more problematic.
