Its obvious they wanted to not do this at all, Im not even sure why they bothered other than providing an air conditioning break space. Should have just closed it saved on operating costs. Isnt the same merch over in the Odyssey? Or did they not do that this year?

You know what's funny?
This looks like a middle school cafeteria set up for an 8th grade semi-formal with a theme of “Aloha Means Family: Good Luck in High School!”

The PTA spared no expense on their $534 budget. Thank you for your help during the popcorn fundraiser!

Missed opportunity for Disney to do a Romy and Michele's High School Reunion tie in. What a 90's banger!

I thought the Arts display was great. No idea why these displays are so uneven. Just have a revolving museum-style display suited to the festival. It can be the Science of Sweat during festival-free summer.

I would love that. Put the merch and food at the north end. Then have the content swap out. Broadway for Arts, Horticulture for F&G, Rotating or a standard Epcot Display for Summer, Disney Culinary for F&W and something Holiday for Holidays. If the space was used more like the Broadway display, my hatred would be somewhat less...

So this year the flower & garden food booths have “modified hours” - during the week many are open only from 11:30-8:30.

But on weekends it’s still 11:00-9:00

Gotta save that 1 hour of pay, unless there will be enough suckers to actually buy the stuff!

*eyeroll*

Other negative things to note- (these apparently started with the art festival but are continuing) -

- festival booths do not take cash

- listed pricing no longer includes tax, so those higher prices are even higher than they appear since previous years the listed price included tax.

I don't think any place in the parks accept cash anymore. 👎

The second part... that's just a dumb psychological game to play. Bad show.

Most of the Disney “carts” don’t - I think most of the quick service do. Also the Joffrey’s kiosks. I’m guessing sit downs do as well - but not sure.

I know Reagle Eagle does because there was a long line forming and a manager came out and opened an extra register himself and said “this register will be for credit cards only”

(Much better than the manager at Pandora who just walked the line telling people they should mobile order….. *eye roll* )

Personally, when doing the food booths in EPCOT, I love to load up one of those mini gift cars on the wrist strap and just use that, no need to fumble for money and the receipts show the balance.
For me personally- I use cards for everything so it doesn’t matter to me. But less options are always worse for the guests.

Some cities and states have made “credit only” illegal for retailers - I tend to agree with those laws and would like to see them expanded.

I like cards for EPCOT food booths, but I pay cash for gasoline because of all the skimmers on the pumps!!! So, there are places I prefer to use cash.

It doesn’t really affect me because I almost never pay with cash, but it’s nice to have the “backup” option of cash. For me personally though, digital payment is easier, effectively impossible to skim (and difficult to compromise), and widely available at this point. Back when not all places supported Apple Pay I would bring cash with me, but I don’t even know the last time I used physical cash.
