Whenever somebody complains about Matt Vogel's Kermit, I'm going to post this:
I have little to no interest in any of those so….Whenever somebody complains about Matt Vogel's Kermit, I'm going to post this:
At the risk of repeating myself, more people would notice someone like Kermit sounding off than Judy Jetson or someone from JellystoneWhenever somebody complains about Matt Vogel's Kermit, I'm going to post this:
I could understand somebody who isn't a fan of Hanna-Barbera not noticing, but even on the internet - where you can find fans of ANYTHING - you don't see that many people complain about the Hanna-Barbera characters in Jellystone not sounding right. At the risk of repeating myself, more people would notice someone like Kermit sounding off than Judy Jetson or someone from Jellystone
The family might actually appreciate using AI. It would mean Jim Henson would be the "credited" voice again (at least in spirit), as opposed to someone else doing a poor imitation.I cannot imagine the people behind the current Muppets nor the Jim Henson Company (Jim’s kids) would approve of AI recreations of Jim’s voice.
I think this Reddit post I saw shared in a Discord server nails why:At the risk of repeating myself, more people would notice someone like Kermit sounding off than Judy Jetson or someone from Jellystone
adding my voice to those who think the Muppet Show revival was Vogel's best performance as Kermit thus far, tooI firmly believe that the reason most non-fans are so turned off by Matt Vogel's Kermit is because they haven't readjusted to this change BECAUSE there's been so little Muppet media in the last decade. In Steve's first year as Kermit, we got three Muppet movies, two seasons of Muppet Tonight, and a slew of other specials and guest appearances. Meanwhile, Matt's done Kermit for a lot of disposable social media content for the Muppets, but in terms of major productions in the last decade, you've got the short wraparounds for Muppets Now, a glorified cameo in Muppets Haunted Mansion, and Kermit did not appear in Muppets Mayhem. That's it. How is anyone supposed to settle in to a new interpretation of a character if they barely get a chance to see them?
I don’t think it’s done yet. Work in progress.Yuck. So juvenile.
Gotta love this board sometimes. Oh that looks terrible... 1 day into the exterior construction.I don’t think it’s done yet. Work in progress.

I think the main reason most people don't like his Kermit is because it doesn't sound like the Henson version they'd been hearing in most of the movies/shows.I think the main reason most people resent Vogel's Kermit is because of how Steve was forcibly ousted from the role.
I don't understand this logic. What can't be duplicated or replaced? Aerosmith? They are literally retiring a "retired band" that isn't as popular and now has plenty of warts and baggage. There will never be anything to replace Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster. It was one of a kind and will remain one of a kind and cant' be duplicated or replaced. Sad day when it closed. We were there the week before it closed and made trip from Pa to Fla just to ride it close to the end. 5 times in two days... So sad.....so sad
You can’t possibly believe I think this is the final product. I am am suggesting this is the beginning of something ugly and immature.Gotta love this board sometimes. Oh that looks terrible... 1 day into the exterior construction.
