I’m going to push back a little bit. We’ve already had Magic Kingdom seeing these attendance levels in 2019. The real solution is to do both, simultaneously. They need to increase desirability of other parks, but they also need to take this opportunity to be forward looking on Magic Kingdom before all those efforts on other parks simply bring more people to the resort as a whole and therefore more people to Magic Kingdom.
Much as we saw in 2019, MK was simply bursting at the seams because of all the effort dumped into the Springs, DAK and DHS. Not because Mermaid was suddenly paying off.
The park was not in a great place when it had 20M gate clicks at MK. They had massive operational issues with taking anything major offline. Now they have a window, get it done, future proof it so Magic Kingdom can take E tickets offline in the future as well.
Which hopefully includes a new secondary fireworks hub and not to understate the positive capacity Tron and Starlight bring comparing that window.
