Not happening, but the nit picky guitarist in me wishes they’d ditch the Strat for a Les Paul shaped guitar since that’s what Janice normally plays.

As an owner of both, I’d like a Les Paul too!

The Strat is pure sex appeal.

Yeah, but building a new Gibson? It'd probably fall apart in a month.

It is already missing a headstock so maybe it should be changed.

Hence why out of my 6 LP shaped guitars only 2 are Gibson.

I always loved my OG Epiphone…

Never owned one but know several who swear by them

Those guitars were/are made in China…mine was built by Gibson in the US in the late 60’s…but they ARE awesome guitars…

I own a few myself…!!! 🎸;)

OH, yeah I see why you swear by yours. Though I'll say, in recent times (well, semi-recent, I haven't really held a new one of either in probably a decade), I'd take the Epiphone over the Gibson. It was insane to me a $3,000 Gibson had to have a bunch of work done to it before you even left the store (sorry, going way off topic).

these are characters... that they own the license for... They certainly have never been shy about having other voice actors copy the voice of Robin Williams in all of the Animated Genie stuff they have done after his death.... tEthics wouldn't really enter into it....

Am I about to pay a scalper an exorbitant amount of money (relative to what they are worth) for these in the near future?

Yes. Yes I am.
I go to Disney a lot and I'm pretty sure I'll be there soon. If they are still available I would be more than happy to pick some up for you and mail them to you!

Honestly, this was Vogel's best Kermit performance he's done so far.
He definitely still has a few kinks to work out (Keeping the voice for yelling, as "It's the Muppet Shoooowww!!!" was mostly Matt), but overall I agree this was his best as Kermit.

While I want to think he's finally got it down, part of me thinks it was everything else going on around him that distracted from the voice, as opposed to the videos of just Kermit talking against a green screen.

Well, you're not getting Jim Henson. Although... they could pull a James Earl Jones and re-create Kermit's voice from Jim Henson recordings using AI.
I cannot imagine the people behind the current Muppets nor the Jim Henson Company (Jim’s kids) would approve of AI recreations of Jim’s voice.

If they opted not to do it with the Walt animatronic, no way they go there with Kermit. Especially since he has a performer.

It really wouldn't matter what the family thinks honestly....the sold off their rights long ago... More then anything else I would think that are happy that the Muppets are still being used in whatever way.... Whether they have someone do the voice or have AI do the voice from Jim Henson's actual performances, I am sure they would not care....
and honestly ...They were ready to just scrap the Muppets from DHS altogether.... So I would think they are grateful there some representation still in the parks....
