MK Cinderella Castle Set to Return to Classic Color Scheme

We need a task force to determine exactly who picked this color, when, and why. I want Home Depot receipts. Then they spend a fortnight in the Liberty Square stocks while we offer them a diet of only Pinocchio’s Village Haus “pizza”.

Great idea. I wouldn't even want my worst enemy to eat that "pizza". I've had better pizza served from the galley on a cheap flight.

It’s almost like the corporation states that they’ll be out of the way later in the day so the Denver family can get their once in a lifetime picture
But what if Karen wanted her kids to have their picture taken in front of the castle in the morning? Think about the Guest Relation CM’s and managers if she doesn’t get what she wants!!! 😉😎🤣

I see one major positive with the occasional “questionable” painting or theming of the castle… it really makes you appreciate it when it goes back to its traditional look.

Reminds me of rides we take for granted until they get an overlay and then go back to the original version and the lines are massive, I think Disney should look at more temporary overlays for rides with short queues rather than simply replacing them, humans are fickle, we have a habit of getting easily bored with “normal” and often only truly appreciate it after it’s gone.

Because the bloggers are lazy? I don't know what you want me to say. Disney says it was for the Cindy 70th, I'm not sure it matters what the bloggers say

The makeover was always intended for the 50th. Attributing it to the 70th anniversary of the film was marketing smoke and mirrors to justify the years-early repaint so that money was appropriated in the most advantageous years to get it done. It was about timing and budgets. It was purely PR spin to start work on the anniversary early without giving too much away too soon.

This was the most ambitious identity project on the most photographed icon in the world since the 25th cake. They aren’t doing that just because the namesake film turned 70 years old and they felt like it.

Just setting the record straight.

Thank you for being the harbinger of truth and setting the record straight when The Walt Disney Company can't be trusted

You mean the same company and parks blog that told you Genie+ and Lightning Lane were developed in response to guest feedback for added choice and value - as if people were actually wanting to pay for something that was free?

Anytime. 👍

Also just to say - not saying they were being malicious or untrustworthy by saying the castle was being repainted for the Cinderella 70th. Just saying they had to come up with a reason to tell the public why the castle was changing when it was (even if it wasn’t the actual reason at the end of the day). It’s synergy!
