Noticing the parks are better upkept

I don’t know whose type of food Pecos is serving - my last experience there made Pizzarizzo and Restrauntosauras seem “high quality” haha.

But yes Tiffins and Nomad are such crazy good experiences. Pretty close to club 33 for us peasants!
I blame my husband for ruining Pecos Bill's with his constant salad-making at the toppings bar.

(Yes, he was that guy.)

I once worked with a guy who hated eating. He said he only ate to survive.
Funny thing about him though, he ordered extra lettuce on anything he could…sandwich, hamburger, etc. :cyclops:
I love to eat…and I generally love Disney food (though it has declined)…

But I hate ploys and “experience” was a deliberate ploy planted to mentally disassociate the price from the product.

If you suggest things are something “abstract”…instead of goods and services…it breaks down the average humans association with a value structure…

…Some guy told me once…

You definitely pay more for a product that comes along with an experience than one without.

I feel like I aged 30 years reading this train wreck of a thread.

Is there more maintenance and upkeep? Yes
Is part of the reason why because it was neglected or deferred in the past? Yes.

If you want to find a filthy bathroom on property or broken ride or peeling paint, you'll find it if you want to.

That's kind of funny.

I love both Tiffins and Nomad Lounge; both were gorgeous and we had interesting food and fabulous interactions with the servers.

Totally different kind of "experience" at Pecos Bill's, which is just not my type of food.

Agree, but Pecos Bill’s is worth a stop just for the corn mousse! (Looks like corn on the cob, but it’s a mousse dessert.)

In general, I’m noticing an easier ability to get same-day reservations, cleaner side walks, more characters walking around.

I will say; Star Tours feels far more like Star Wars than the land, like no hate for it in its entirety, but it’s not Star Wars, but besides the point.

Food is also better than it has been. All the new restaurants actually serve food you’d eat outside of the resort. Roundup BBQ was a pleasant surprise.

So while the parks are more expensive, we’re getting refreshes all the time and huge expansions, and a much better than COVID era upkeep.

Lots to criticize about the Iger era, but Josh is positioned if he has the right ideas to really succeed.

I mean even Disneyland Parc Paris has been completely overhauled to get things up to the Disney standard.

It’s nice to see.

Anyone else noticing this?

Ignoring the ensuing hoopla over typos and what not - this first post from you cannot be considered controversial!

I appreciate your positivity, and I largely agree with you about things being generally on the upswing.

We make our own good time (or not.) On every trip, we experience wonderful things and less wonderful things - no drama, we’re at WDW and appreciate being there! Every chef can have an off day or a great day.

I don’t see how people even consider McDonald’s to be desirable as food.

There is a Trip Report section on this site, where people post about their trip experiences (either during or after their trip) and nobody argues with you when you say you like something! You may enjoy it. I’ve come to appreciate being able to go back and read my own reports from years ago - sometimes I read things I’d already forgotten, and see pics I’ve long since deleted from my phone.

In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your trip!

You mean you don't like cafeteria quality, warmed over, steamed meat?

Thank you, my friend.

I have no idea why people are losing their minds.😂

I enjoyed Walt's restaurant in DLP and also Annette's Diner in Disney Village where I had a burger to rival Cowfish at Universal. We also really enjoyed Pym's in Avengers Campus in Paris, the price is very high but as an eat as much as you like it was very much worth it. I'd say Pym's has a better tasting selection than anything at Disney World that I've tried as an eat all you like option at least.
Newer options, similar to Disney World, are always consistently good.

No one is giving Disney credit in this area.

There is no reason that DLP food shouldn’t be the best food in the world, it’s in France and right next to Paris. It’s definitely not that, Remys was good not great, the Mickey pizza in fantasyland everyone raved about online was barely acceptable, and the steak place I went to in Downtown Disney was again good not great. The only thing that was amazing was the breakfast in the club lounge at DL Hotel.

But no one is going to head to DLP for a food experience, when there is the whole of Paris nearby.
The Disney guests won’t pay the prices for it.
They don’t even have that as an option. WDW has a Michelin Star restaurant, once Napa Rose fully reopens and can get reviewed I bet DL is going to have one too. Again, zero reason things at DLP shouldn’t be leagues better.
