How does this footprint compare in size with Tron show building or RNRC? It honestly doesn't look very large considering the it would also house the queue...

From what I'm aware of though it wouldn't need to be large as its not a launch coaster + not going nearly as quick as those coasters.

How does this footprint compare in size with Tron show building or RNRC? It honestly doesn't look very large considering the it would also house the queue...

the building, now confirmed to be approximately 365 feet by 330 feet at its widest points, totaling around 103,000 square feet.

To put the scale of the Monsters Door Coaster building in context:

• Cosmic Rewind: ~197,000 sq ft (EPCOT – largest ride building at WDW)
• Rise of the Resistance: ~92,000 sq ft
• DINOSAUR: ~85,000 sq ft
• Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster: ~71,000 sq ft

So a little bigger than RNRC... that is good... so it might be at least as long, or slightly longer than that ride. Though honestly it would be hard to say because everything is based on speed and also the size of the indoor queue....which I am sure will be larger than RnRC... Since the majority of that queue seems to be outside... I am sure they would have configured a larger indoor portion for this attraction.... It honestly does not look that massive when you see the people in the photos....

It wouldn't surprise me if this was coordinated with Henson studios until after their announcement about MuppetVision 3D coming to AppleVision. MuppetVision 3D's future is now confirmed so Disney can go ahead with the renovation of the former building. (It was going to happen anyway. This announcement about MV3D just lessens the blow.)

Unfortunately, the model makes the ride seem like a fairly short track length. Yes, speed will affect it, but I suspect it will be a "zippier" ride, given the effect they want to create. I worry it's ride length will be closer to Tron than Guardians, much less Everest of Big Thunder ride time.
