Not my fault if many articles refer to the rose gold paint as for the 50thLazy marketing. Only items that were added specifically were the darker roofs and the 50th medallion.

Then why is every other article out there referring to the repaint as a 50th edition? Seriously just very interested at why every other Disney news outlet posted that it was for the 50th as opposed for Cinderella movie anniversary. Why the confusion?
I now refer to it as the 50th look, as I think most people now associate it with that. But yes, technically it isn't correct.![]()

Oh boy, what a “gotcha” moment. I’ll go scamper away now, knowing I’ve utterly lost this internet argumentYour words - "Quick google searches show every article from that time...". Your first link above is from last year, not 2020.I provided half a dozen examples from 2020 disproving your statement.
And it will probably be one of the few good things that will happen in the foreseeable future.Quickly returning to her former beautiful self. This is the best thing to happen to WDW in a long time, imo.
DL's Castles colors used to be closer to the current WDW castle I believe, it was not always pink.Whatever the reason was, it was misguided....and it appeared that it was painted pink to closer match Disneyland....which is NOT the park that was celebrating its 50th Anniversary.... It looked odd, the decision was baffling....and they had to redo the roof multiple times because it looked so awful the first time.... So maybe for Disneyland's 75th Anniversary they should paint it to match WDW's castle?
Yes, and the wand was for the Millenium Celebration, and the hat was for the 100 years of magic and as we all know they were promptly removed at the end of their respective celebrations.Because the bloggers are lazy? I don't know what you want me to say. Disney says it was for the Cindy 70th, I'm not sure it matters what the bloggers say
Sleeping Beauty Castle has always been pink, it was just way more muted than in more recent years.DL's Castles colors used to be closer to the current WDW castle I believe, it was not always pink.

The original used light pink on upper walls and light blues on the roofs to make it seem taller than it is. The darker and bolder colors lose the effect and make it look even smaller than it is.
It can be a great disappointment when someone who grew up going to MK visits DL for the first time and sees that tiny toy of a castle at the end of Main Street.
Totally agree. I grew up going to DL, so it’s always been my favorite.Seeing Sleeping Beauty Castle takes a minute to get used to. But at the same time, it’s… comforting.
Indeed, though Sleeping Beauty Castle does work better with the more intimate scale of Disneyland which is why in Hong Kong whose Main Street is on the same scale and the clone of the Disneyland castle was designed that way intentionally and why the idiotic re-do to make it bigger a few years back was an idiotic idea because it throws off the scale of Main Street.Sleeping Beauty Castle has always been pink, it was just way more muted than in more recent years.

Maybe as a first reaction, but you get used to it rather quickly, especially once you get to the hub and Matterhorn comes into view. Every castle fits the park it’s in. Also, have to say, even though Cinderella Castle is “my” childhood castle, Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant is my favorite and most grand of the Disney Castles I’ve seen.Sleeping Beauty Castle has always been pink, it was just way more muted than in more recent years.

First time the lifts are seen being active during park hours.
