Isn’t the Beach Club meant to be representative of the grand resorts on the coast of the NE states?

If you want to call it pretentious that’s fine. The term is commonly used especially in North America.

I believe those floats offer lifeguards a better view of kids who sometimes vanish in inner tubes and could be submerged, out of view.

I've read the official refurbishment language.

We have plans to spend a week at Yacht Club during the middle of July 2026. We are evaluating our decision. Does anyone know if there's a typical timeline for the scaffolding that just went up at the end of the resort, and have the core areas where people frequent of the Yacht Club building (like the arc around Storm-Along Bay) been previously completed during the Pool remodel in 2025?

Last time we stayed there, in the Fall of 2021, they were working on some kind of exterior project on our side of the hotel. Sidewalks were blocked off and scaffolding covered the side we were staying on.
