Interesting, in an area like this are the footings poured on top of the slab? The coaster structure is on its own isolated footings separated from the slab by a joint.
I was referring specifically to Cosmic Rewind. It’s possible that Monsters Inc. is attached to a single slab, but it would be surprising. The slab itself only needs to be about 6” thick and making it big enough to support a coaster means at least doubling that thickness. The slab would also need to be designed for all of the movement of the coaster versus just having the footings isolated.Interesting, in an area like this are the footings poured on top of the slab?

So I know that all of the hullabaloo with the MK has been centered on Villian’s Land and Josh saying think bigger. Well, I have also been seeing this lately on several sites.View attachment 908992
This was captured from The Kingdom Insider but I have seen this rumor being mentioned elsewhere alongside the information @lentesta brought to light regarding Josh and the Villian’s project. I also don’t recall seeing this mentioned before. Apologies if it has been.
A person after my own heartWe're getting a Door Coaster, what else do you need?
It's a Monsters Inc Land, I love Monsters Inc!
I think it's possible to see someone like Brock appear, though not in a substantial way. There's a lot of really cool and unique side and background characters across the two films and the show that including in the land in certain ways would add a lot to the experience. I don't think they're gonna be like, walk around characters, but maybe simple AAs in windows, or cleverly placed static figures, etc. Will this land feature characters from both movies plus the show, or just the first one? I'd like to see them do more with Brock Pearson. I thought he was one of the more intriguing background characters from Monsters University and I'm surprised they didn't include him in Monsters at Work. (On a side note, I'm pretty sure that Pixar took inspiration for Brock's design from Big Bertha at Six Flags Over Georgia's Monster Plantation/Mansion.) Judging by the synopsis of the door coaster, I'm assuming this land takes place before they convert the factory to laugh power. If that were the case, it would be cool to have the lights in the buildings flash.
It sickens me to see the Muppetvision facade get destroyed. I wonder if the theatre's interior will be gutted? The name, "Glob" makes me think it will be a theater in the round like the Globe in England. If they don't extract Laugh Floor from Tomorrowland, I can see them doing a Circlevision presentation with a monster character similar to Nine-Eye. It's too bad we can't get a carbon copy of Monsters Ride and Go Seek. That's the best Monsters Inc. ride we've gotten. As much as I love and miss Meet the World, I feel it's a worthy successor.
I think not having an AA of Celia at the front desk would be a missed opportunity.I think it's possible to see someone like Brock appear, though not in a substantial way. Monsters at Work I expect to have the least amount of general representation in the land itself, but there's no shortage of characters from there that can be thrown in.
What I really want to see once we go physically inside Monsters Inc is some of the other scare floor monsters and other beloved side characters that we catch glimpses of in the film. I don't need full on AAs, even just some nice, well placed references to them would go a long way with me.
Agreed, I absolutely want one of her and one of Roz in her officeI think not having an AA of Celia at the front desk would be a missed opportunity.
Roz absolutely needs to be in the preshow doing the safety spiel.Agreed, I absolutely want one of her and one of Roz in her office

I expect both of them in some form, but I am wondering if they will follow Monsters at Work with Celia as floor manager and Roz’s sister being there instead of her.Agreed, I absolutely want one of her and one of Roz in her office
Seeing what they have done recently I expect that Roz will have retired, Celia is opening a Foods manufacturing facility out in the swamps on the outskirts of town... Mike and Sully lave left the Scream job and are pursuing their dream of owning a Mailboxes ETC Franchise.... Wally and Bob will be the new lead characters on the ride...two newbies that were not in any of the original source material... the ride will not take place in Monstropolis, but in the neighboring town of Creatureville....
Did you speak to them at Hollywood Studios in the vicinity of the Baseline Tap house?FWIW, I spoke to probably 30 strangers today, overwhelmingly, the Door Coaster is the most hyped experience coming.
It’s not remotely close.
The ride is going to break social media.
That’s why Disney did it.
