Big Olympic Hockey watch party early tomorrow at my brother’s. Breakfast buffet, bottomless mimosas, Caesars, and beer. Puck drop at 8:10, but we’ll need to get there by 7:30’ish. And then immediately after the game, we have to go to work.

If the Canadians win, we’ll keep our jerseys on all day. If not … there is no if not.

Yesterday, our Premier (Dougie) allowed all schools to play both the Canadian and US semi-finals in classes. Kids were not forced to watch, but they could if they wanted to.

Good luck to both teams and to all players not named Tkachuk.

Local weather just updated to 18 - 28 inches. Half a meter according to Alexa. A Canadian storm and rooting for Canada during the gold medal game. Maybe it will bring them luck. Though a couple coaches on Team USA are from RI.

Wonder how long it took to do this? This is real and not AI.

Many years ago in St. Albans, Vermont they had a winter carnival that involved a community effort to built the largest snowman for the world record. I don't know if they got it or not but it took one weekend with basically all the people of the town. It ended about that size. If I recall another time during the yearly maple festival they made an equally ginormous pancake that used up a drum of Maple Syrup. My memory of that one is iffy. I know they made something and that is what I recall. These people had way to much time on there hands.

Not a big fan of Dougie, but kudos to him for letting them watch. It was a great game.

Both men's and women's games were played so well by all teams. It was full of good plays, saves, and tension, just what hockey should be.
I unfortunately did not watch the women's game, but I saw how it ended. I did watch the men's game, and it was such a great game. Close calls. Lost teeth. 5 on 3. Going into OT was the perfect ending for it.

Yah, it's hard enough for her facing surgery; but when the timing also doesn't line up with her other plans, that's a double whammy. Happened to hubs as well -- he also has a knee replacement surgery coming up. Doctor had to move up his date to May, due to giving him more time to lower his diabetic numbers first. 🤦‍♀️

Yea, she doesn’t have any other issues to deal with beforehand, it’s just a timing situation.
Hopefully your hubs can get his diabetes numbers down soon, so he can get his surgery done ASAP.
