ORLANDO, Fla. – (Feb. 17, 2026) – Today, Opry Entertainment Group and Grand Ole Opry member Luke Combs announced plans to bring Category 10 to CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort.

“I have a line in my song ‘1, 2 Many,’ ‘there’s no stopping me once I get goin’. Well, I guess you can say the same about Cat 10 now,” said Luke Combs. “I know Orlando is a worldwide destination spot, so I’m super pumped and humbled that we’re getting to open a location there. My wife is from Florida, so we’re both super excited about this. I am glad to be bringing our brand of first-class service and awesome tunes to the Sunshine State.”

The Orlando venue, targeted to open in late 2027, is the third location for the Category 10 brand, joining the flagship Category 10 in Nashville, Tennessee (opened in 2024) and a recently announced Las Vegas location (debuting fall 2026). Opry Entertainment Group also owns and operates Blake Shelton’s Ole Red, a restaurant, bar and live music venue located in Orlando.

“Country music is reaching more people nationally and internationally than ever before, driven in large part by superstars like Luke Combs,” said Colin Reed, Executive Chairman of OEG parent company Ryman Hospitality Properties. “With Orlando welcoming millions of visitors from around the globe each year, expanding the Category 10 footprint into this world-class entertainment destination allows us to introduce visitors to an authentic country music experience inspired by Luke’s Carolina roots.”

The Category 10 brand pays tribute to Combs’ 8x platinum debut No. 1 hit, “Hurricane.” The approximately 33,000 square-foot, three-story Orlando location will include experiential areas influenced by Combs’ music and passions.

OEG is set to break ground on the brand-new Category 10 Orlando location in summer 2026 and more details on the project will be revealed over time.

Don’t love losing a bit of the view from the walkway into City Walk, but from everything I’ve read the Cat 10 in Nashville has done very well and I would assume they expect the same for the one opening in Vegas.

This is all cleverly planned by a competing theme park to the Fla scene, mark my words.

-Guests visiting CityWalk go to this new establishment... enjoy good food and good country music.
-They leave afterward thinking: "That was a lot of fun... if only there was a theme park involving country music.
Wait, there is. Dollywood! But that's over a 10-hour drive from here. We can't get from Universal to Dollywood in a timely..."

Boo to "bro country" and modern country in general. This is actually a bad look for the majority of Universal's demographic.

CityWalk has a massive mix of vibes; Mexican, Italian, Cajun, steak, sports, classic American, Asian bao, reggae club, karaoke bar, DJs, etc. Adding a country/line-dancing spot is rounding out the nightlife options.

Country is one of the most popular music genres in the U.S. - Line dancing is social and fun even if you’re not a hardcore country fan. Lets not forget that CityWalk is located in the middle of the state of Florida... filled with plenty of people who love this type of stuff

I'm glad they're adding this. Much better than laser tag, bowling, NBA experiences, VR attractions or poorly done escape games

That is a very closed-minded take for a diverse place such as CityWalk (and Central Fla in general), whose demographic expects a wide variety of flavors in food, shopping, and entertainment.

I would argue this for most modern music. Which is why I listen to old stuff.

The music that is still making the radio and top 40 and all that is always going to be formulaic, yes, but I encourage everyone to try using services like Spotify and Apple Music and letting them curate new music for you. The more you use it and indicate what you like and don't like, the better they get at finding new music for you that you could like. I think many people get stuck on "old music" because it is comforting, but if you maintain and open mind, there is a plethora of great music being made today, you just have to dig a little for it.

This. I still listen to the same music that I did in college and high school or at least the same artists/bands. And I have Amazon Music! But point taken.

I get it! I tend to fall back music from my teen and young adult years also, but I force myself to branch out and try out new stuff now and then.

Also to clarify I don't even hate all country music, just the Luke Combs brand of bro country where its clearly reinforcing the same stereotypes and acts like the only thing to sing about in the world is beer.

Beyond that though, the placement of this kind of sucks, the waterfront should not have tall buildings up against it.
