EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

How anyone who puts forth that the current iteration of SSE is “optimistic” is beyond my ability for rational thought. Roughly the same point in the ride, which one sounds optimistic and which one sounds insipid, to be blunt?

Irons version:

"But will these seemingly infinite communications become a flood of electronic babble? Or will we use this power to usher in a new age of understanding and co-operation on this, our Spaceship Earth."

"Since the dawn of recorded time, communication has revolutionized our lives and changed our world. We now have the ability and the responsibility to build new bridges of acceptance and co-operation between us; to create a better world for ourselves and our children as we continue our amazing journey aboard Spaceship Earth."

Current version:

"For the first time in history, all of us can have a say about the kind of world we want to live in. The choices we have made for the past 30,000 years have been inventing the future one day at a time. And now, it’s your turn."

"So here’s to the next 30,000 years on Spaceship Earth. While no one knows for sure what we’ll see or do, I do know it will be quite an adventure—an adventure that we’ll take and make together. See you in the future!"

The latest version is the worst script of the four versions. Insulting, simplistic, and quite frankly, geared more towards the LCD than even those on the middle end of the scale.
How is talking about really being able to change the future not optimistic? And both focus on that human connection that overall connects the park.

I miss playfulness and post-modernism across pop culture. This doesn’t just apply to theme park design, though it’s certainly relevant to the wave of detheming and the obsession with bland interior spaces. It also extends to many other cultural spaces like filmmaking, where the sometimes giddy self-aware brilliance of auteurs like the Coens, Raimi, and Tarantino has been replaced with the self-satisfied Kubrickian seriousness of directors like Villanueve. My feelings about the Creations Store and the modern Dune movies are very similar.
Never thought I’d see a comparison between Dune and the Creations Shop.
Bland interior spaces? Why, according to some of them theme park geniuses 'round these parts, that's modern, contemporary, and futuristic, just like EPCOT is! Haven't you seen the massive futurism on display with LED lights on Spaceship Earth? SO futuristic!! Ooo!! Ahh!!! You HAFTA post that to your Insta!!!!
The LED lights and front entrance are the clearest positives out of all this to me.

So it’s not contemporary? Then what past style would it be?

Yet I could sit there and listen to Dame Judi Dench whisper it into my ears all day long!

What a magnificent lady! Dame Judi Dench, more like Dame Judi DRENCH with what she does to me...

;);););););););)🥰🥰🥰🥰

I like the lights on the globe! That and Rat are about all I really do like about the recent changes to EPCOT.

I’m not a scholar of interior design by any measure, but I associate the aesthetic of the Space side of Communicore with the Apple Store, a look that’s a quarter century old at this point and feels very stale in addition to being profoundly boring. If I’m wrong about that, I’m happy to become more informed.

The lighting improvements in the entrance plaza and points of lights on SSE were great “pluses” made but these changes could have been done at anytime.

I do find myself looking at small elements to make myself feel better about this truly failed renovation of future world.

So more child friendly script= total failure and no longer optimistic. Got it. 👍

Going back to what was erroneously removed (the fountain, that is) in the first place was a good move. I despise the pucks and what they turn SSE into - A gigantic eyesore of light that drowns out the architectural brilliance of the exterior. I never have and never will care for color-changing LEDs being the focus of a Disney theme park renovation.
